    Location is good, and easy walking to some good shopping/eating locations. Building is very old/historic, but the room is modern. Inside is very large, clean, and has very basic facilities. Great for couples. But you do have to walk up 2 flights of stairs.

    Excellent! Was welcomed by Zappa the receptionist who was very polite, friendly, helpful and professional which gave a very good first impression of the accomodation. He kindly helped me to check in early after a long journey. He showed me the room which was lovely, very clean with all amenities as stated in the advertisement. I really liked it here and would definitely like to stay again. It was clean, quiet and very near to the metro, shopping centre and Jing An Temple. This was a great place to stay for my first time in Shanghai (which I loved - what a fantastic city)!

    While the staff (front desk & housekeeping) are very nice & helpful and Ladoll is in a great, great location, I had 2 big issues in my room: 1) termites and 2) old appliances. I was at Ladoll for 42 nights. About halfway in, my room was infested with termites. The staff kept saying that it was because of the weather and advised not to open my windows (I never opened the windows), but the termites were clearly coming/falling from the ceiling. I have videos! The staff sprayed bug spray while I was in the room, which is bad/toxic for anyone's health. This situation made me worried for the integrity of the entire building - termites eating the wood is not good for the building. I was moved in 3 other rooms; 2 of which also were infested with termites. Old appliances... The bathtub rim curved downward (it was just old), which meant that water would drip on the floor every time I took a shower. Instead of fixing it, the staff taped the shower curtain to the wall. The AC in my room also was very loud in my room; couldn't sleep with it on although it was very hot.
