Along with tea/coffee, at-least a light snacks could be included complementary with the room. Washrooms are good and clean, but I must say there is scope of improvement here as a 5* hotel

Staff takes really good care of thier guest. Great selection of Breakfast. Nice cozy room.

Large well appointed hotel with the largest pool in Dakha . Off pantopath next to shopping mall and square and bbb hospitals . Hosted presidents and heads of state so cant go wrong

I stayed at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka from 16–20 October 2026 with my wife and our five-month-old baby. Having visited Bangladesh for the past ten years, I chose this hotel on the recommendation of the Bangladesh Tea Board. Unfortunately, my experience fell significantly short of the standards I expected from an internationally recognised hospitality brand. Housekeeping was particularly disappointing. My room was not properly cleaned, the dustbin was not emptied, the floor was not cleaned, toiletries were not replenished, and even tea bags were not refilled. I had to personally contact a staff member, Kawser, and point out these shortcomings. When I requested a shaving kit, I was informed that the management had not replenished the stock. These are basic requirements that should not need repeated follow-up from a paying guest. The handling of my room-upgrade request was equally concerning. When I enquired about a paid upgrade to a room with a smart TV, I was told that rooms with smart TVs had been allocated to airline crew. I understand that the hotel may have contractual arrangements, but this response left me questioning whether the needs of regular paying guests receive equal consideration. Food service and in-room dining were below expectations. My wife, who was breastfeeding, requested an omelette at the live counter and was told it would be sent to our table. Approximately 15 minutes later, she had to point out that she had already made the request. In-room dining orders took around 60 minutes to arrive, and some orders were delivered incorrectly. Transportation arrangements were another source of frustration. I requested a car on Saturday for Monday and was prepared to pay the applicable charges. I was simply informed that a car was unavailable, without the level of assistance or alternative arrangements I would reasonably expect from a hotel of this category. Taken together, these incidents indicate a concerning lack of consistency in service delivery, communication, and accountability across several departments. I appreciate that the hotel accommodates airline crew, diplomats, and other distinguished guests. However, every paying guest deserves the same fundamental standards of cleanliness, courtesy, professionalism, and attention, regardless of their occupation or status. No guest should feel that their requests are less important because they do not belong to a particular category. To be fair, I would specifically like to recognise Nusrat at the front office and Arin, Brinda, and Jahid at the food counter for their helpfulness and professional attitude. Their conduct was commendable and demonstrated the standard of hospitality I had expected throughout my stay. Unfortunately, the positive experiences with these individuals could not offset the repeated service failures elsewhere. Travelling with a five-month-old baby made these shortcomings particularly difficult. I paid for four nights expecting a comfortable and dependable stay, but instead found myself repeatedly following up on basic services that should have been delivered without prompting. My conclusion is straightforward: I would not choose this hotel again based on my experience, and I would encourage other business travellers and families to carefully consider these service concerns before making a booking. The reputation of an international hotel brand must be reflected in the actual experience of its guests. Management needs to address the shortcomings in housekeeping, food service, transportation, and guest relations, and ensure that every guest receives consistent and respectful treatment. A hotel is ultimately judged not by the guests it is known to host, but by the quality of service it delivers to everyone who walks through its doors.
