    Title: Great Location, Clean Rooms & Friendly Staff — With an Unexpected Moth Adventure! 😆 My wife and I stayed at Mantra Lorne from 14–15 October 2026, and overall, we had a pleasant experience! The location is fantastic! Lorne Beach is practically right behind the property, making it an ideal place to stay for anyone looking to enjoy the beautiful coastline. Our room was clean, the bedsheets were fresh, and everything felt comfortable and well-maintained. However, we did have one rather unexpected experience — moths! 😆🫣 We discovered three rather large moths flying around INSIDE our room. Now, coming from a place where we're not particularly used to seeing moths of that size, my wife and I were honestly quite terrified! We ended up calling reception to ask whether changing rooms would be possible. The receptionist kindly explained that moths are actually quite common in this part of Australia, which we completely understand. What surprised us, though, was finding THREE of them flying around inside our room! We certainly wouldn't have minded them outside, but sharing our bedroom with them was another story! 😂 To their credit, the staff responded very quickly and came over with insect spray to help us deal with our unexpected visitors. After a little adventure, we managed to eliminate two of the three moths. The third one went mysteriously missing in action (MIA) and thankfully never made another appearance. Once we felt safe again, we actually managed to get a pretty good night's sleep! Overall, Mantra Lorne is a great place to stay, especially for its excellent location, clean and comfortable rooms, and friendly, responsive staff. The moths were certainly an unusual experience for us, but they didn't take away from the overall quality of our stay. Perhaps just something to be mentally prepared for if, like us, you're not particularly fond of large flying insects! 😆 Would still recommend Mantra Lorne to anyone visiting this beautiful coastal town!
