Due to Grand doing renovations we were upgraded to a 2 bedroom apartment which was very comfortable. Large TV’s in lounge and both bedrooms, king size beds which were extremely comfortable. Staff were also very obliging.

We booked through Agoda and there was no mention that the hotel is under renovation. We were expecting a dining room with breakfast and great dinners as reviewed by so many others. The kitchen, lounge, dining room, bar area are all been renovated and not available. We accepted this and still decided to stay as we had planned a winery visit and we could get dinner somewhere else. The room smelt musty, as did the entire floor. There was a tray with box juice, small breakfast cereal packets, zip lock bags with 3 pieces of bread on a tray. They gave us 2 bowls and NO plates for the toast. We had to place the toaster on the floor to make toast while the kettle was in the cupboard (power cord attached through the back wall). We overlooked on morning 1, thinking Good Friday when they made the room ready, they may have staff issues. We did our planned winery visit and the hotel replaced what we used for breakfast, the bread and cereals. They did take the dirty dishes and provide clean bowls or plates. We were unable to have breakfast day 2. We booked this on recommendation from a work colleague and the great reviews we saw online. It did not live up to expectations. I am hoping that they can get back to what they were after the renovations.
