    I booked an ocean-view room at JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort &Spa as a wedding gift for my son and daughter-in-law for their wedding day and the hotel truly exceeded all expectations. From the moment they checked in, the team made it so special. As a lovely surprise, they received complimentary champagne, cake and sweet treats, and a late checkout. The ocean-view room was absolutely gorgeous. We also loved the dinner at the restaurant, Citrique. The pool and Spa facilities were absolutely first class. Thank you to the entire JW Marriott team for helping us create such beautiful memories for the newlyweds. The hospitality was warm, thoughtful, and world-class. We will cherish this forever.

    Hotel set back away from the beach however still walking distance. With the salt water lagoon pool and other pools it wasn’t necessary to go to the beach. A very relaxing feel by the pool area. It is in the quieter area of Surfers Paradise, which is what I like. Family friendly resort hotel. From the balcony of our room we had view of the pool area, ocean and river. We also had beautiful sunrise and sunset views from the balcony. Room was decent size and clean. Hotel staff service was mostly great. We were provided with their in-house special welcome drink which tasted delicious. Breakfast buffet was okay. Could get a little boring after a couple mornings as the choices stayed relatively the same. Not quite comparative to other JW Marriott’s we’ve stayed at. The breakfast staff were mostly nice, except for a couple staff on separate mornings which we found wasn’t very friendly. We had the seafood and grill dinner buffet which was nice, but seafood was a little limited for choice. We’ve had better seafood buffets. The staff attending our area for the dinner buffet was very good (didn’t get his name though). Had some minor issues with housekeeping with the room not being serviced properly with items not being replenished. Overall a pleasant stay. I would stay again and recommend this resort for families.

    Location of the hotel was central to most of our planned visits making it easy and hassle free. The facilities were great. Breakfast buffet had plenty of options. The staff were friendly and nice with the kids. Overall it was a good stay.
