Gorgeous quiet location in the heart of old Blankenese on the shores of the Elbe river

We stayed in a double room with a pull out couch for the two kids to sleep on. The double bed was comfortable and I liked that there were two separate mattresses, so I couldn't feel my husband moving around. The pull out couch was fine for the kids, but adults would find this very uncomfortable, with very hard mattress. The shower was great and appeared to be in part accessible. The room had a coffee maker but no hot water heater for tea, even though there were tea bags (?). The check in and check out process was very easy and the app worked well. There is a bus stop directly outside the hotel and the bus goes at regular intervals from the S-bahn. The hotel's location is very far from Hamburg city centre, but in a gorgeous location, right on the beach of the Elbe, lots of green around, the beautiful old town of Blankenese, a ferry connection into town just a few minutes' walk away, and very very quiet. Altogether a splendid stay.

The lighting could be brighter and sometimes seemed not to work, after re-entering the room (though that might have been me not understanding how the main switch operates).

Good find in metro Hamburg

Beautiful views of the Elbe, flexible automated check in/check out. Excellent room, beautiful historic building. Nearby town of Blankenese has nice variety of bakeries, restaurants, etc.

Extremely difficult to find parking, more than 20 minutes away from Hamburg Centrum. Great location if you want to be somewhere safe and quiet, though. No lift, so stairs are a problem for mobility impaired.

Good Elbe beach location

Dream location right on the Elbe with bus stop right out in front. Clean, nicely designed room with big closet, good shower and coffeemaker in the room.

Room to the back would fill with kitchen exhaust from downstairs restaurant if you opened the window at night. Service was erratic with staff forgetting to stock room with water and coffeemaker capsules.

Disappointing customer service

The property is in an excellent location and it is well presented.

The check in process was complicated for three guests travelling as a couple and a single. We were told they were working on a place for us to park our bikes. We waited two hours and were finally told there was no solution. We said we would need to cancel and find another hotel which we did. The property eventually emailed with a solution, it was too late. We have now been refused a refund, and they have lied about us cancelling after a solution was offered. It was a disappointing experience. The hotel is ideally located on the Elberadweg path, there needs to be an option for secure bike storage.

Relaxing stay in beautiful Blankenese

The location is great if you would like to have more of a relaxing and quiet stay.

There were quite a few bug in the room if you leave the room window open at night as they were attracted to light but they stayed on the ceiling.

the location is direct Strandweg, that was good,

The bed was not clean, the sheets had hair on it, and brown spots. really disgusting. that was only in one room of two that i booked. when we arrived the rooms had a temperature of 5 Celsius. really really cold. both of the booked rooms had a extra door to a emergency exit. this door was not good sealed, the cold wind came through. both room had maximum 10m2. very small. the bathroom was new so ok. The rest was just a joke for 180 Euro per night.

I was happy with almost everything and would recommend it.

The location was very good. The bus station was just in front of the hotel. The room was clean and there was an iron an electric heater in the room.

There is no elevator and its a bit difficult to carry heavy luggages upstairs.

Great view of the river. Great bathroom facilities. Amazing location.

There's no table and no chair in the room. Instead there's a large, half-finished fitted kitchen in the room. This is not usable but dominates the room and makes it feel crammed. Why oh why? At night the air is very bad and stuffy in the room, even with open windows. A bit of noise and cigarette smoke from the restaurant's patio below the windows. Traces of ongoing redecoration work at the property.

Worth visiting.

The location is really nice, in a calm neighborhood with the river right outside. There are restaurants close by, even though the center is a few kilometers away. The accommodations were very nice with a common area terrace facing the river.

Small things failed: great bed but huge pillows which were hard to handle. Great shower/bathroom, but nowhere to place things in shower/ not enough hooks to dry and hang things. Cosy room, no hangers to hang things, only 2 hooks. Nice coffee maker with 2 small cups, no water cooker (we used the stove, took 20+minutes), no teacups.

The room was clean

There was no breakfast provided although paid for. I am receiving a credit but meant I had to go into town to get breakfast. Check in arrangements deplorable . No alternative to online check in.no possibility to leave luggage at property prior to check in . Very noisy into the night with party guests inconsiderate of appartment guests. Very difficult to get to sleep

The location is fantastic right at the river. The room was modern and clean.

Had to look for the entrance, as there is no sign for the hotel. Parking also seems to be a problem, which I have been aware of. Having no hotel reception is something one has to get used to. Concern was that travelling from Africa, having no connection / internet access and unable to download the mail with the PIN. Was standing in from of the hotel and couldn't get in... Had to leave from the hotel to organise internet access first (the restaurant at the premises wasn't helpful...) to return later to gain access.

Very Clean, German "near perfect cleanliness" - basic interior, all white, easy mechanical check-in, quite complicated instructions but manageable. Amazing location, directly in front of the water.

Staff is minimal, focussed on the restaurant - the instructions of checkin using Homaris are complex, you may find it too complex if you are not German - it was fine for me.

Worst hotel ever.

The bed was comfortable. Nice view of the water and walk out balcony.

Pillows sucked. No internet so I couldn’t work. Hotel was ghetto from the entrance to the stairs. Bad customer service. Pots and pans but nothing to heat up and cook on. Should put a grill on the patio.

Beautiful location in the district Blankenese of Hamburg, on the Elbe

We had room 105 and which has a fantastic view of the Elbe. The room was spacious, sparkling clean and tastefully decorated in a modern style.

I found it a pity that there was no staff on site. I still have to get used to only communicating with the accommodation staff via chat or telephone. You get different PINs for access to the accommodation/room. The toilet brush used up and dirty, so that the same would have to be renewed.

We liked the location and the room itself.

It was odd to not have anyone physically at the hotel to help you when you have a problem. In our case the room was incredibly cold and even after calling and sending an email, nobody helped us. It was also disappointing that our room only got cleaned on the first day and on the second day we did get clean towels but the bed was not even made. It is unbelievable since we paid almost 600€ for 3 nights. We expected more.
