Welcome to Mountain Vista Chalet!
Mountain Vista Chalet is a Moonlight Basin ski-in/ski-out property steps from the Pony Express lift, with Spanish Peaks views, a private hot tub, and the kind of quiet that is genuinely hard to find. When summer arrives, trade your skis for hiking boots and explore some of the most beautiful terrain in Montana. Yellowstone National Park is just over an hour away when you are ready to venture further.
The main level keeps everyone together. A 60" smart TV anchors the living room, the open kitchen is stocked for real cooking, and the dining area seats 10 between the table and breakfast bar. The views from the balcony alone are worth the trip.
Bedrooms are spread across two levels for privacy when you want it. The upper-level primary suite has a king bed, private bath, and a sleeping loft with a twin for extra flexibility. On the lower level, Bedroom 2 has a queen bed and direct walkout access to the outdoor hot tub. Bedroom 3 has a twin-over-queen bunk and mountain views.
After a day on the trails or the mountain, the hot tub is ready. A sled is stocked for winter afternoons with the kids, and NFL Sunday Ticket is available for game days between powder days. Your dog is welcome too, one well-behaved pup 12 months or older, because a mountain trip is better with the whole crew.

When you are ready to step off the slopes, the historic Lone Mountain Ranch has 85+ kilometers of groomed Nordic trails through the wilderness, voted the #1 cross-country ski resort in North America. Beyond that, Yellowstone National Park, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, dog sledding, ice fishing, and world-class spa experiences are all within easy reach.
Summer
The mountains do not slow down when the snow melts. Within minutes you have world-class fly fishing, river rafting, golf, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, and zip-lining at your doorstep. Follow the scenic Gallatin River along historic Highway 191 and you are at the west entrance of Yellowstone National Park in just 45 minutes. Showed up late in the evening and all of the check-in instructions made it extremely simple to find and get into the house. We were welcomed with a small basket of information and treats. The house was at a perfect temperature and was wonderfully decorated and clean.Beautiful view, easy access to trails, shops, restaurants, ski hill, hot tub was great (I wish the top would lay flat as it blocks a bit of the view when stored but not sure they can do anything about it since it is attached with a really convenient mechanism to take the cover on and off).Beds were comfortable (could be a little softer for my taste, but seem to be normal for vrbo houses). Kitchen was stocked very well with plates, pots and pans, utensils, cleaning supplies (some of which we had to move to a higher cabinet as there are no child safety latches which is understandable for a vrbo), and small appliances. Dish washer seemed new and ran almost silent. I have already talked to the family about returning to this or one of the other properties managed by this company. Wonderful experience.
