The studio is tiny and full of light. Located just steps from Old Town, Zabka is literally downstairs, 30 second from the entrance. Coffee maker, tea maker, toaster for an easy breakfast. Cons. The kitchen countertops were very worn, the stove top looked not working properly , it took like 20-30 min to boil the water or fry eggs. Some linen needs to be replaced. Lots of stairs - remember, you will need to pull your suitcase up. Overall good value for the price.

Future tenants need to be aware of the very steep "witch's stairs" to the loft which are difficult to negotiate esp. with full hands. The loft is also not very tall and average height people can only stand upright in the very center of the room along the ridge line. Getting in and out of bed, making the bed, etc. are inconvenient at best. Not a deal breaker, but if you have any mobility issues you should be aware of these characteristics which are not very obvious from the photos. Otherwise a great place to stay! The 78(!) stairs to the third floor are not steep and we got used to them quickly.

Aside from the 60 steps to the rooftop apartment (which actually provides some good exercise), it is a very quiet, accessible, lots-of-sunlight, attractive and enjoyable unit. Bedroom/sleep area has slanted roof that does not allow fall standing in several areas, but still was a good room. Directly across from the historic, lovely Karmelite church and near the beautiful Planty park-forest that embraces Krakow.
