House was super clean and the location is incredible. I returned to Poo for the beach and coast, and this house is a five minute walk from both. The village is charming. A gem in the Asturias. Once I finally found the property and met the house manager for the keys, she was incredibly sweet.
I'll make this brief as possible. The host does not provide you with an actual street address of the house. I was told to follow the link via Booking.com to access and follow the directions in Google maps (or Apple maps). So I did this and I was led to a wrong house. The person meeting me, after much communication back and forth, then sent me a Google maps link in our chat. This link ALSO did not take me to the correct house. Furthermore, when Booking.com contacted the owner (who was not the person that met me with the keys) about this issue in my attempt to preempt possible confusion and stress when I realised I didn't have an address, I received a call from an English speaker in response who berated me for being stupid (not making this up!) for not "just following the map link on Booking.com". The link that led me to the first incorrect place. His tone was pretty incredible, utterly rude and patronising. Lastly, the reason no address is given is because "they don't use street names or house numbers in Poo". There were numbers on both the houses next to this rental property. Poo is a small village but it's not as if there are only five structures standing. One can't just turn into the small city and be like...oh! That must be the rental! That said, within the town, the house is one turn off the main road and then just another to the left. Very easy directions could have been offered by the owner if in fact somehow there isn't an address to give. Clearly, I am still baffled by this experience. I just don't understand why the check-in process was so needlessly tedious and frustrating.
The downstairs has a pretty intense mildew smell (I think coming from the washing machine in the bathroom).
Also, just be aware for cooking and bathing, there are no amenities or supplements... no olive oil, coffee, spices, tinfoil, etc. in the kitchen and no soap in the shower.
