Hotel Tsagarakis Beach

I had a pleasant and memorable stay at Hotel Tsagarakis Beach. I was looking for a slow, peaceful vacation, and this hotel turned out to be the perfect choice. Built in the 1990s as a traditional Greek family hotel, it still carries that authentic charm throughout — from the reception area to the dining hall, beautifully decorated with vintage items that I absolutely loved. Despite being nearly 40 years old, the hotel has been well maintained. It features a lovely pool and a gate that opens directly to a calm part of the beach. Most rooms, including mine, offer a beautiful sea view. The room itself had a nostalgic, vintage touch—not luxurious or modern, but comfortably equipped with air conditioning, a refrigerator, and cupboards. One of the highlights of my stay was meeting the grandmother who originally designed the hotel in her 40s. Now in her 80s, she remains incredibly kind and welcoming. I truly enjoyed chatting with her each time I passed by the reception. The current host was also very friendly and helpful, explaining everything clearly. In short, this hotel may not suit those seeking luxury or modern design, but if you appreciate authentic charm, warmth, and a touch of nostalgia, you will love it here.

On the downside, the bathroom could definitely use an upgrade, especially the toilet basin and shower area, which felt a bit old and inconvenient. The breakfast was fine, though not particularly impressive.

The Tsagarakis Hotel is a family-run hotel, filled with the love of several generations. This hotel is highly recommended if you're looking for a quiet place on the beach, where you can relax and enjoy a vacation away from all the noise and chaos of the city. The thoughtfulness, kindness, and attention of the owner and everyone who works at the hotel are truly outstanding, for which we are very grateful. The daily cleaning and the balconies overlooking the beach make for a pleasant stay. I definitely recommend this place to enjoy and relax.

It is a very nice hotel and very close to the beach. The hosts, both mr Tsagarakis and his mother, were very nice and welcoming. They serve guests with everything they have, from breakfast if you arrive early in the morning, to homemade cookies. The room was very clean (it's cleaned every day and lingerie refreshed every two days), beds were very comfortable and we had a nice view of the sea, the garden and the city. For breakfast we enjoyed the fresh ingredients, the greek yogurt with honey, as well as the olive oil which is locally produced by them. The front yard has a pool that you can enjoy, as well as a short pathway directly to the beach, which is what we loved a lot and the main reason we booked here. Everything was like in the booking description. Overall, we had a lovely time and wish to come again next year.

This is a very traditional family hotel, where you can immerse into Cretan history, traditions and way of living. It is not the classic hotel, but has a very unique style. It has a lot of old pieces, but it is very clean. The family that owns it is very nice and tries to make you feel like home. Also, it is on the beach.

I really enjoyed the olives from the trees own by the family, but I would have liked if the breakfast menu was a bit more diverse.
