Great cabin, amazing view, good for relaxing. Super hot water but limited. All-round comfortable and pleasant stay
Access to cabin is walking or drop off/pick up if in car, bike could go direct. Sort of adds to the quietness, so actually a good thing
6.0 / 10.0
The view and the style of the cabin
It needs a toilet built on top the cabin, nobody want to wake up at night needing to pee and then have to go for a walk, Bad Idea Bad design

The stay and view was good.
There was only one table fan running slowly. Though they gave an extra one, there were 2 cabins. Could've construed more bathrooms as there was only 1 bathroom and 2 restrooms for 5 cabins.

Beautiful place, amazing view, especially from the main pool, great restaurants and lovely staff, the menjangan island snorkeling trip is a mist (organised by reception upon request), it was fantastic, the spa is worth a visit as well. Nice bar at sunset just outside the hotel (kima bar). Thank you for such a great stay!
Nothing, wish we could have stayed a couple more nights… maybe a yoga class a bit later, I attended once at 7:30am, but would have gone more often if it was a little bit later, but still 10/10!

Stunning location, excellent value due to access to the main resort facilities, whilst being secluded away in the cabins.
5 cabins share 1 set of common showers and toilets, which is not enough. Most people use them at specific times like the morning, before dinner etc, so you have queues.

the property was well designed, clean and spacious. our girls loved their bedroom with the bunkbeds, the views were amazing from the master bedroom. the property could see both the sunrise and sunset from the roof terrace. The infinity pool was just a few meters away, had stunning views and usually empty so we had it all to ourselves. the kitchen was well equipped but you have to bring your own food as there is nowhere within walking distance to buy provisions. The hills surrounding the area were great to walk
more clothes hangers to dry wet towels and clothes

Location and views are simply stunning. Property was adequate, Staff were super friendly and very efficient.
Food and drink were alive average in their prices, but I guess they have a captive audience.
Cabins could have done with a fridge, a mirror ( for the ladies ) and a bedside lamp. It was noisy for large parts of the day (starting as early as 05:30) with the call to prayer at the mosques in the town

Really liked it. The pool is great, friendly staff, nice spacious and clean rooms. Facilities are good, restaurants are nice for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I only booked one night but extended it twice.

Villa design, pool, food in both restaurants
Serious interference from construction work. Workers walked within 10 meters from our open villa, incompletely taking away privacy and to some extent obstructing the view.
Infrastructure such as roads, paths poorly maintained, no lights at night etc.
But the price is at 5star plus level compared to five other locations we stayed at during our two mk ths in Bali.

Beautiful villas but not worth the money.
Have to pay extra for everything. This is not a hotel more of an airbnb.

Stunning position. So removed from the madding crowds. Loverly restaurants. Stunning pools. Our unit was a delight. Our own infinity edge pool looking to Java and the most amazing sunsets.
Lots of development happening and will only get better.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Our room was located near the lobby but still felt private and quiet. The room was very spacious—loved the two showers! The staff were really friendly and attentive, they were very quick to respond to any requests and concerns. Also, loved the yoga classes every morning.

There are so many things that needs more attention. First of all, we stayed at the suit the first few days and I’m just amazed how you guys have an open bathroom. That bathroom needs a net. Because mosquitoes are a big problem. Every night we got eaten alive. Also using mosquitos spray is so bad. So it’s better to have a net.
Second the food lacks in reasoning. It is very much adapted to white foreigners. The Indonesian restaurant didn’t have that in-depth flavors. It was purely for Bules. No tobasco sauce for the 7 days we stayed. Food was so disappointing. Horrible Turkish eggs.
Secondly, at night time you cannot walk cause dogs are always there and barking.
Next we stayed at the felix villa and again, it was designed in a very non- practical way. Only one sink in the bathroom for a giant room. Next to the shower there is no stand to put your body wash, you have to put it on the floor. Again the doors to the room doesn’t shut properly and mosquitos plus AC air is seeping through. Another bad engineering.
Beautiful view but you can hear everyone that walks by. Pool sides doesn’t have towel and have to text.

Breakfast, bed, swimming pool.
Restaurant quite expensive for Bali. employees are very slow in restaurant and don’t speak English very well. A lot of construction, they close restaurant in the morning for the construction. a high voltage line crosses the hotel and part of the villas.

I loved the concept of grouping many individual villas with different styles and comforts into an eco-style hotel compound with the character of a Balinese village. The resort is well-integrated into the landscape and surrounding nature. We lived in Villa Guus which is perfect for a couples getaway and has a stunning view of the bay from Pemuteran to the national park and Menjangan Island.
The food was excellent, both the breakfast in the Suma restaurant and the dinners at the Senja restaurant (the best meals we've ever eaten in Bali).
If you are looking for manicured lawns, water fountains with rose petals and staying all day long at the poolside, this is not the place for you. If you want a wholesome experience, architecture where nature meets concrete, a modern approach to resort living and genuinely friendly staff, come to Sumberkima Hills!
Our experience was overall fantastic at Sumberkima Hills. I do have to point out that unfortunately, the quality of the walk-in yoga classes was disappointing. The teacher - a friendly and lovely person - does not have enough experience to guide the classes consisting mostly of beginners. The flow of the poses seems relatively random, there is no build-up to difficult poses such as the dove or camel pose (that should not be proposed to beginners in the first place) which could potentially leave some people with injuries. The flow stops abruptly sometimes because the teacher massages everyone in child's pose. She talks through the entire shawasana, not giving participants the head space to actually relax and/or meditate. I am sure this will improve with more training and experience, but I had expected more from a resort that focuses on a wholesome experience and even offers yoga retreats.

The views are incredible and with all the change Bali has gone through in the last 4 years, it’s very difficult to find a place like this. Beware that you’ll have to pay resort price for everything, including yoga (which is fantastic).
In the suite, I could feel people’s steps above and when moving furniture etc, which was just a pity as it wasn’t as quiet as I hoped. The shuttle took 35’ to pick me up from the bay, it was very hot and there was no place to drink or eat while waiting.

The rooms we stayed in were cosy and comfy, I loved the fact that I opened up my curtain and my view was a beautiful little green garden.
Unfortunately I’m a mosquito magnet and the last afternoon I was there I woke up bitten by a whole army on one of my legs, so please never forget to apply repellent if you’re like me.

the concrete charm is a matter of taste but for us it was ok but not beautiful

The location is amazing, same as views. The villa is new and nice, pretty cozy. That’s all with the good part.
The service is horrible. You could wait for your food for an hour even for simple omelet. After an hour waiting you could get not the thing you ordered, they could forget what you were asking for, and they don’t bother to ask again.
The language is the problem as well, they just don’t understand what are you saying, and they will knock and smile not trying to ask again.
You’re asking for the transfer which is simple and you could wait for 40 minutes while road takes 20, just because they forgot to call the driver.
The staff is trying to be polite and helpful but it doesn’t work.
The internet connection is bad, so you have to pay for the internet if you need it.

I stayed in villa Guus I felt like I was living in my own little slice of paradise. The interior, the views, the food and the peacefulness - Honestly, I could have stayed at Sumberkima Hill Retreat for ages.
The staff were super friendly and helpful. They really made everything really easy.
If you're looking for a relaxing and beautiful getaway, Sumberkima Hill Retreat is definitely the place to be.
10.0 / 10.0
Sumberkima hill retreat is the best place where you can stay in West Bali. Let me tell you why:
1) The design of the rooms and the whole concept of the place is remarkable.
2) They care not only about the quality of the service they provide, but must important, they do care for their customers happiness and comfort.
3) They had thought in all the different problems or difficulties that tourist from other countries can have, and you can see their efforts everyday.
4) The people working there are friendly and helpful guys and girls who will make their best on their job.
5) The restaurant (we only tried Suma rest) has the best dishes everyday, together with interesting daily specials, that the chef Gusti comes up with.
6) After all this, you feel like you don't want to leave the retreat, but if you want to explore the area, they have an excellent shuttle service that can take you to any interesting place around.
If you want to have a beautiful, relaxed and full of human/nature-oriented experience, come to this place.
