About this cottage rental
Enjoy our four season cottage featuring western exposure on a lovely, spring-fed lake a short trip north of Huntsville. *Saturday to Saturday bookings in July and August. Our cottage boasts a sandy, weed-free shoreline with shallow and gradual entry, wonderful for children. This is a lovely spot for you and your extended family or friends to enjoy Ontario.
This cared-for, 3-bedroom home, plus 2 bunkies provides a wonderful respite and launching pad for numerous activities in the area. Relax, unwind and stay in cozy comfort.
The main cottage is split across 2 levels with 3 good-sized bedrooms in total each with queen beds. There are also 2 additional bunkies, each with queen beds.
Our cleaning fee includes fresh linens, pillows, duvets, towels, hand towels, cloths, dish soap, hand soap, dishwashing tabs, some Keurig pods, some paper towel and toilet paper.
***The main cottage features***
-> An easy-access horseshoe-shaped driveway with parking for up to 5 vehicles
-> 3 Bedrooms
-> 5 beds in total (5 x Queen; ; Plus an additional futon and mattress)
-> 1.5 washrooms inside cottage; the master has ensuite privilege
-> 55” HD TV with Netflix
-> Rogers Internet (this is still the country, do not expect Fibre speeds)
-> Decks on 2 levels with outdoor space for relaxing
-> A Muskoka room overlooking the lake to enjoy an evening cocktail or play games with family
-> 2 Firepit areas (one directly lake side)
-> BBQ under a covered porch that can be used in all four seasons.
***The waterfront offers***
-> Shallow entry water with a sandy bottom on a 2.5km wide, spring-fed lake
-> Large dock with docking for a boat (note the Summer water level has been measured at 3 feet at the end of the dock). There is a boat launch on our lake and boats can be rented and delivered from a marina in Huntsville.
-> Non-motorized personal watercraft (canoe, kayak, standup paddle board and peddle boat) and various life jackets from small to large
-> Deckside Muskoka chairs
There is so much to do in this area in every season.
Summer: Enjoy our wonderful lake or hundreds of other Muskoka and Hunstville Lakes. If you have any watercraft, this area is truly your playground.
Fall: Take in the spectacular Fall colours from our lakeside window, or head to any of the Provincial Parks in the area - such as Arrowhead. You will have breathtaking scenery and truly be in awe of nature's bounty.
Winter: Head out onto the frozen lake for some excellent snow-shoeing or cross-country skiing. Are you a fan of downhill skiing? Hidden Valley Ski Resort is less than a 1/2 hour away. If you have a snowmobile, then the neighbouring trails will be magical to explore. After a long day of activity, cozy up by our pellet stove with a blanket and a cup of hot chocolate.
Keyless access is available with our touch-screen front door lock. A code will be sent to you before checking in.

We had a fabulous summer week as a family of three with a 5-year old, and a few friends with their young kiddos popped by as well. The property is situated beautifully, with a big waterfront and fire pit, beach, dock, picnic table (a favourite for lunches) and plenty of muskoka chairs for lounging. Bedrooms are big and comfortable, and the bunkies are rustic are reminiscent of a glammed up camp cabin. The screened in porch was a hi-light especially for the buggy July twilight hour and rainy days. The beach/water is perfect for young swimmers where they can roam in the shallows or explore deeper water, and there were lots of boats and water toys. There was tons of wildlife too which made it extra exciting: turtles, frogs, geese and their goslings, chipmunks, fish, snakes, otters, and a friendly group of ducks that would come by in the evenings. The BBQ is a little inconsistent and should likely be replaced, but once you get the hang of it, it’s functional. We loved our stay and are already dreaming of next time!

We enjoyed our family long weekend stay!!! Close to Arrowhead where we did some cross country skiing and skating. A great get away.

A great place to unwind and connect with the family, super clean cottage equipped with everything with everything we needed including a bbq directly connected to a fuel source.
