First and foremost, our host Reni. What a lovely woman. Very friendly, likes to have a chat, always on hand to help out if needed. The apartment itself was very spacious, clean, and traditionally decorated. A large living area, including a kitchenette that has just about anything you need if self-catering. A large bedroom with a king-sized bed and plenty storage space. A reasonably sized bathroom with a shower cubicle. There is a private sun terrace outside with two sunbeds and a table & chairs. Don't worry about shade, there is also a large wind out sun canopy. There is a lovely beach just yards away, and two great tavernas. An additional bonus was a small supermarket just across the road. Would stay again despite the small bits we didn't find great.
As said, Reni was great, a lovely host. So I'm almost grieved to post anything about bad points. I hope this will be taken for the constructive feedback it's meant to be...
- We were aware that no maid was available during our stay. But at least empty the bathroom bin once per day.
- The terrace is private in that it's not available for public use. But there is no privacy. The main access to the beach runs right past the entrance to the terrace, and Reni lives right next door with her partner. My partner and I do like to lay outside Au Naturelle when we can, we had hoped staying here would allow us the opportunity to do so. A suggestion would be if Reni maybe puts a partition between her property and the apartment, and make their egress via the rear of the building, and also maybe some more trellises and foliage around the rest of the walls there.
- The property description notes "private beach", I'd suggest removing that, as the beach isn't private. Additionally, it also notes, "two bedrooms", but the second bed is actually just in the living area.
- It can be a little noisy around there sometimes too, and the path down to the beach is a little scruffy.
- A final suggestion. If there are no guests coming in on the day straight after ones who are leaving, make the apartment available for a little longer to allow later departures to freshen up before leaving. We'd have been happy to have paid a little extra for this.
Despite all these points, and as said, we would stay here again.
