Nice vacation week with our four kids, their spouses and 1 grandchild. Comfy beds and nice bedrooms. A couple small issues upon arrival which were taken care of immediately. Until a week before check in, I didn’t realize it didn’t have central air. There’s a room air conditioner at the top of the stairs that we ran constantly with a fan blowing into the main floor areas. This was able to cool it down from 86 to 76 which was comfy. We had a very hot week plus smoke from Canadian fires so we kept windows closed. The main floor bedroom doors needed to stay open or the bedrooms heated to 90. Two of us tried the hot tub once which was clean but incredibly strong with chlorine. The pool was AMAZING! Consistently warm and clean with an easy cover we used each night. Our oldest tied up his bass boat to the sea wall and loved the easy lake access. Very quiet area. Inside could have been cleaner-spiders, floors, pillow shams. Ice maker didn’t work. Had a nice day trip to Ludington State Park for hike and beach day and another afternoon at Silver Lake. All in all, the house is spacious and accommodating to large groups or multiple families.

Clean and well cared for. Did have a moment of terror when I saw all the glass figurines on the shelves traveling with a four year old but no mishaps thank goodness. Had wonderful weather and a great time. Thanks for all your help Brooke.

We had a great family getaway weekend. The house was clean. The hot tub and pool were wonderful! Plenty of room to gather inside and out.

Thank you for our stay. While overall it was a good experience, there were a few safety issues if traveling with little kids. The upper deck railing and the indoor railing around the stairs are not up to code. We had to purchase a utility fence and zip tie it around the deck so our toddlers could be outside. The gate that closes off the pool needs to be replaced, and the door for the outdoor gas fireplace is broken and hanging on one hinge. Also, while this house does sleep 14, the pullout couch in the basement is not worthy to sleep on. My 11 and 13 yr old nephews ended up folding it up and sleeping on the floor. Besides those things, the location is 10/10 and lake Hamlin is great for fishing.
