Hôtel Continental

When choosing a hotel, two things are most important: location and a kettle. I want an easy walk to the train station, and I like to have coffee in my room before I shower and dress. The Continental gave a lot more than that, though. The room was spacious and bright, with ample room for my stuff. The bathroom was newly redone, and quite elegant. There are many nice restaurants nearby.

The lobby is small and utilitarian, and the elevator a bit tricky.

The breakfast was very good, as was the location.

The room was much smaller than the pictures depicted. We were supposed to get a City View room but on a scale of 1-10, the view was a minus 10; a deep, elevator-like shaft down to the outdoor workings of the hotel. The response we received when we questioned the staff about our expected city-view was: "if you had a room with a view there would be street noise."
