About this house rental
Amazing View from the Deck with soaking hot tub, view of Haystack Rock Pacific City,2 bedrooms (Queen)quiet wooded neighborhood away from crowds.Its like living a tree house in the forest with lots of wildlife to enjoy only 5 min drive to the beach.Listen to the ocean all night long!
The space
We are located in Pacific City Oregon.
Yes believe it or not, there is more than 1 Haystack Rock In Oregon : ) Ours is located at Cape Kiwanda.
This is an amazingly beautiful place. Its like being in a tree house when you are out on the deck....totally awesome!
There isn't anyway to really accurately list this space. It is like an apartment but not. Its more like a house but only part of it. We have made lots of groups very happy sharing it! Our home is a two story home. The main entrance to our home is on the lower floor as well as the laundry and pet door. We live on the upper floor and have our own personal entrance on the upper deck. We have added a door to the hallway to close off the upstairs, yes the stairway is open to our living space but we try to keep our presence limited for your privacy.
It makes us happy to know you are enjoying our beautiful home : ) We are not bothered by what is happening downstairs in the least and laughing and having fun is strongly encouraged!
The complete lower floor is open to you with your own entrance. There is a cozy living room with 42” TV with DirecTV and a DVD player and a nice big covered deck with a new digitally controlled 4 person hot tub. We keep it at a toasty 104° temperature.
There is more room outside than inside so in the cooler months you should be aware of this but for the most part unless its storming ( which is awesome in its own right.... did I mention its like being in a tree house? ) you will be dry and free of the famous coastal mist.
There are 2 bedrooms (1 of the rooms has a Roku TV) each bedroom has bathrobes for your modesty. The 3rd bed (Sofa-bed) super comfortable is in the living room. If you would like to inquire about larger parties you will definitely be COZY. There is a Murphy Wall bed in the exercise/ game room in the adjacent room through the garage. I will need to arrange a special rate if you will exceed the 6 person max and want to use this room or add cots and air mattresses that are available. Each bedroom can accommodate 1 cot or air mattress. Camping on the deck is totally cool with us too just pay the extra person. Please feel free to inquire and ask any questions you may have about this.
There is now a Kitchenette with a small prep area in the laundry room. We just added a 2 burner hot plate, toaster oven that’ll cook a whole chicken or a 14” pizza, new 4 slice toaster with room for bagels, pots & pans, wok, 6 qt instant pot, cooking utensils including salt& pepper, cooking oil. A microwave, coffee maker, coffee grinder, toaster, electric tea kettle, ice maker, and the refrigerator is on the deck. We keep a cooler on the deck for your use as. There is a Propane Barbecue or you can cook over a campfire in the fire pit as well.
We provide a light breakfast in your fridge for morning: Yogurt, Juice, Fresh Fruit ,Instant Oatmeal, Applesauce, Coffee, Tea and Hot Cocoa and Apple Cider.
Your floor has its own bathroom with shower and double sinks.
We have DirecTV with DVR, & a Roku TV, Telephone, Wifi, Washer & Dryer, a Fire Table with blankets to keep you toasty on the deck and a Seasonal Fire Pit…to make yummy roasted marshmallows. You will need to bring your own wood. We have a patio near the fire pit with a dining set for your use as well if you want to use the propane barbecue you can move it to extend your party out.
Lots of parking.
Our 2 cats are open to roam so they might stop by for a pet.
We do have recording security cameras on the premises. They will be used during the checkin and checkout period. Once your complete party has checked in the cameras are turned off.
Guest access
We have a Game / Fitness Room with an Infrared Sauna, Tanning Bed, Treadmill and Recumbent Bike, Big Screen TV w/ Dvd Player, Karaoke Machine and a XBOX 360 with Kinects. We have limited Xbox Games/ Karaoke Dvds...bring your own if you like! This room occasionally is not available. If you know for sure you will want to use it please let me know in advance so I can alter planned use of the space.
Other things to note
The directions I have listed are the easiest to find us. It seems to be helpful if you put the address in your phone or Gps or print it out before heading out as the cell service can be sketchy at times. Please do not go to the wrong address this is becoming a problem with the neighbors. If you are unsure please call me.

Bonnie was a fabulous host both prior to and during our stay. We arrived a bit later than planned, but we were welcomed with the beautiful light strings on the porch and the sound of the roaring ocean!! We are a family of 5 with 3 older kids, and the space was perfect for our stay. In the morning we were greeted by a beautiful view of Haystack Rock down by the beach. Our stay was only a couple of days, but we did take advantage of an evening in the hot tub. We would have loved to stay longer! Bonnie was was very accommodating and quick to answer any questions we had. Thanks for the great stay!
