Casa con terrazzo nel centro storico - Casa Gioia

I'd say the location was unbeatable - if you want to be in the Centro Storico but still be able to get there by car, it's perfect! I had had my doubts as I had been to Gaeta before and couldn't imagine how this would be possible, but the place is sort of at the beginning of the center, where you can still drive relatively easily and do'nt have to negotiate super windy, narrow, steep roads. The provided parking pass lets you park anywhere, pretty much - we got super lucky and had the car as close to the entrance as you can possibly get, and we left it there for two days; but there is also a large public car park very close by and that always had lots of free spaces (at least when we were there, this is probably different in August). You can walk anywhere in town from this location, and it's so worth it as Gaeta is gorgeous!! Highly recommend walking up to the castle (if you are reasonably mobile, it's pretty strenuous so keep that in mind, take your time and plenty of water). We even walked to the beach - had planned on taking a bus but couldn't figure out exact times and how to pay the fare, so we ended up just going on foot, which again, if you are ok to walk, is really worth doing as you see parts of town that you wouldn't otherwise see. The host is not there in person but very responsive on WhatsApp. I had booked this place for the location and also for the terrace, which was sooo nice to have - I spent most of my time out there while we were at the place. Nothing beats having your morning coffee or your evening aperitif outside, overlooking the piazza and the hustle and bustle of people - the views from the terrace are gorgeous!! it was hot, though, so maybe a larger umbrella (or a second one) would be good if like us, you also want to have meals at the little table. I thought the kitchen facilities were pretty good for a rented place like that, and most of all, A PROPER FRIDGE!!!

Can't think of much we didn't like - oh maybe the lack of light in the staircase? It's rather narrow and steep - I'm sure there was a light switch somewhere but not sure where. I wouldn't recommend this place for mobility impaired people. Some cushions for the outdoor furniture would be good, as well as a kitchen rack for washed dishes and a kitchen towel. Also, the trash situation wasn't very clear to us.

The place is really well located and has a super nice balcony.

Doesn't have wifi or tv, is an apartment to really enjoy going to the beach and rest.
