Secluded, quiet and away from the masses.
Sofá could have been bigger/more comfortable. Other than that, it was perfect.

An absolute gorgeous place in the middle of woodland. The cottage is gorgeous, warm and very welcoming. Little red fairy light round the shelf in the living room when you walk in, very clean throughout.
Large bathroom with a lovely bath and piping hot water, just what i needed after a day working outdoors in the rain. Just fantastic.
Ok here we go. A word of warning. It can be wuite tricky to find. If you're coming up from llansoy then don't always listen to your sat nav. Off the main road my sat nav told me to take a right turn to i forget the name but it was park something or other and i literally ended up down a single lane dirt track which was completely flooded.
It was pitch black and my van just fitted through it. So if you ignore that right turn and go less than half a mile further then turn right, it's onto the main road that takes you straight there.
There are absolutely no shops or places to eat nearby either, so take some supplies with you, as it is literally in the middle of nowhere.
There was no postcode for it on this site either so i had to google it
They definitely need to change the pillows as they were pretty uncomfortable too, 2 had big chunks of foam in and gave me s stiff neck! 🙈

Spacious house attached to the owners' dwelling. Harmony with nature. Very homey with well-appointed details.
We could never figure out how to lock the doors (but the area seemed so safe anyway)!

The cottage was so quiet and comfortable. I felt completely safe there and it was lovely to meet Bridget and Ollie Dog. I couldn't have felt more welcomed.
Everything was so clean and I had all the utensils I needed. A lovely big bathroom as well.
After a day of VERY WET & MUDDY mountain bike riding in the Forest of Dean, it was wonderful to come back and be able to clean up and relax in such a cosy space.
Plenty of room for my car on the drive and directly outside the front door - perfect given the rain we had that weekend! Bridget even said I could bring my e-bike in to charge it up. Nothing felt like a big deal so I was completely relaxed.
The directions given before I arrived helped immensely.

Very spacious for just me and easily big enough for two. The bed and bedding were absolutely splendid - shame I wasn't able to have any lie-ins.
The food goodies and milk left ready for me were greatly appreciated!
Although self-contained, you are very much within someone else's home.

I arrived very late to the property after a long and hard days cycling.
As soon as I stepped thru the front door I was in love.
This charming cottage is indeed just that but located in such idyllic, peaceful and tranquil surroundings.
My host was exceptionally helpful and even went out of her way to provide me with most excellent directions for my onward journey.
I had been ‘on the road’ for over a week and this was by far the most peaceful setting and accommodation I had experienced so far.
I intend to return for a longer stay at some point to really soak up this cottages charm and peaceful surroundings.
My only disappointment was that I did not have more time to enjoy this wonderful property, that and the climb up to the property after a long and hard days cycling was a tough one, but worth it.

The cottage is chocolate box pretty. It is very warm and welcoming inside. Everything you need to enjoy your stay. The little notes left around the cottage were a great pointer on how to use tv and what light switch was what.
Everywhere was spotlessly clean and smelt lovely and fresh.
Lovely touch having tea, coffee, milk and welsh cakes on arrival.
Outside area is stunning surrounded by trees and fields. Nothing to hear other than the wind in the trees and bird song.
It is a little difficult to find. But with the added instructions given to us by the owners we managed to find it.

Outstanding Value for Money, the cottage is the perfect "get away from it all" location. The cottage was spotlessly tidy and well appointed. The surroundings are stunning and the dark skies at night were anazing. We happily spent 4 nights.
There was nothing not to like, we genuinely could not fault the place.

Precisely as described, a very charming cottage. Secluded but within easy reach of Tintern. It was a perfect stay and I wish I had been able to stay longer. Absolute bargain of a price. Gorgeous garden and very lovely host who had taken the time to add lots of thoughtful extras. Would highly recommend for a perfect peaceful getaway.

Quaint & lovely little cottage with a sweet little garden
Bed was comfy but small & we aren’t! But that’s not a criticism at all

This cottage was an easy 11/10. The local bar was so charming. We believe this was the quietest stay we've ever had. We didn't meet the dogs, but we spent some time with the horses. Just an overall exceptional stay.
Probably user error, but we couldn't figure out locking the doors. Not a big issue since we felt safe enough without needing locks.

The property was extremely well equipped; cotton buds, cotton makeup pads, a fresh pint of milk in the kitchen fridge. Washing up liquid etc. Board games, tv. A lovely west facing back garden with a bench to enjoy a relaxing end of the day drink; bistro table and chairs in the front garden to have breakfast or mid-morning coffee. Free parking outside the property.
Nothing that I can think of. Possibly a bit too far off the beaten track for some, or difficult to find, but Google maps helped.

We arrived and were greeted by Bridget and her lovely dog Olly. Bridget told us about the surroundings and the property and that we would have some 4-legged visitors during our stay. Olly and Poppy the dogs along with Dave and Derek the cats. For us, it was like being at home. We love our animals.
The cottage was in excellent condition and has everything you'd need to live in the property.
The area is so peaceful and beautiful. We will definitely be going back.
There wasn't anything not to like.

The location was amazing, off the beaten track but I was sent clear directions. Fairly remote, but the owners are in the adjoining cottage. The silence was wonderful, the morning chorus (at 4.30am) was incredible, something to set an alarm for! The cottage was very cosy but spacious, easy to get into Monmouth and the Wye valley. Lovely walks along the river to Tintern Abbey ruins. Good places to eat in Tintern.

Comfy and homely.

Stunning place, great host, perfect location to relax and unwind. Once you have your supplies to stay remote it is absolutely wonderful to relax and unwind, look at the bunny hoping from the woods from your bedroom window. Bathroom is a lovely size with a bath tub, even salts left by the owner to use. Just great, The entire little cottage with kitchen and living to yourself.
everything was great, own supplies need to be taken. Bed mattress on the soft site in case you need support. But for the value it absolutely exceed expectations
