Pull back the large bifold patio doors and let the fresh country air fill the lodge, or step outside onto our private decking to enjoy breakfast in the morning sun. And for a truly decadent start or end to your day, what could be better than a dip in your private hot tub.
Three lovely bedrooms offer a tranquil pace to retreat to after days of adventure, with the master including a walk-in wardrobe and luxury en suite shower room, while the open plan living / dining cooking area means there's plenty of space come together whether sharing delicious home-cooked meals or for a movie night curled up in front of the TV.
Especially well suited for those who love the great outdoors, you'll be able to take a woodland stroll in the adjoining lakeside conservation area, go paddle-boarding on the lake, fish or bike ride or if you have pets with you on holiday there are a host of fantastic walking routes in the area as well on the beach at nearby Widemouth Bay means you'll be able to enjoy fresh air adventure to your heart's content.

Our Lodge was perfect for a break away and lovely that dogs are welcome too. We really enjoy the open plan living and the view of the sheep in the back field was just lovely.
The hot tub was lovely and very clean.
Now if you wanted to know where things could be improved then these are my kind suggestions not intended to offend anyone.
The Lodge needs a deep clean paying attention to skirting boards and ledges.
Shower trims.
There’s brown water marks in one of the rooms could be damp related and the bi folding door doesn’t open in the lounge.
The white walls are tired and need a lick of paint as marks in every room.
However none of the above interrupted our stay. The customer service with booking the lodge was excellent.

We loved the layout and decor of the lodge and thought it was really comfortable and well equipped. The hot tub made the stay very special as we were able to use it several times during our stay - a highlight was sitting looking up at the starry sky one night. Paying for towels and robes is recommended as it added a touch of luxury. The site is ideally located, having a very quiet, rural location very near woodland and lakeside walks but within minutes of the A30. Customer service in the run up to our stay was good: we needed to amend our booking which was done easily, and we were kept well informed throughout. The site was not staffed but there were telephone numbers for help in and outside office hours.

It was value for the money very comfortable easy to find and very peaceful we went in September there alot to do round the area Bodmin jail is worth a visit we will be going back

The lodge is in a great location for exploring and had everything you’d need for a good stay. The lodge itself was very tired, the bifold doors were unusable and therefore spoilt the access to the patio. The hot tub was not as clean as I’d expect, at times it had a bad smell. WiFi is poor, useful only for email, cannot be used for kids to stream videos.
