Great quiet rural location, good find!!

Easy to find in this quiet rural location. Comfortable and cosy. Big tv. Easy parking. local pub within walking distance (don't forget your torch!)

Low ceiling along the edges! Breakfast left for us was minimal and basic (we had bought our own with us anyway). Self catering arrangements again basic. Eating out, local pub within walking distance was slow to serve us with a table. Other eateries need to get in the car.

Very comfortable and well equipped.

The bed was a little small - a standard double I think - we have tended to see most venues providing queen size or bigger. Having said that it didn’t detract from our stay

One of the best places I ever stayed at.

The room is in a beautiful farm, easily accessible by car and close to local pubs and amenities. The room was perfectly cleaned and very well furnished with anything needed, including kitchen equipment and a lovely free breakfast made of local products. The hosts are extremely welcoming and so kind that they gave us a little tour of the farm and showed us their animals and grounds. Highly recommend to anybody, really lovely place.

The viewing platform over the fields at the top of the stairs was a superb place for an early morning breakfast.

Lovely stay for one night away in business , beautiful property in beautiful countryside

Idyllic setting , safe , secure parking on site next to property , property was well presented, clean and today and had lovely touches like cold fresh milk, coffee and tea . Beautiful goats , chickens and wildlife, watching them all in the field from my balcony amongst the rabbits that came out to play as the sunset was perfect . All superb

Exceptional value for money. Just watch your head!

Well appointed for the price, very clean and a good location. The provision of breakfast ingredients was a very welcome touch and the large flat screen TV with streaming made the stay all the more enjoyable. The outdoor spaces are nice and you can walk or run quite safely down the road.

The only thing was the lack of headroom. I’m only average height but I kept bashing my head on the sloping ceiling!

Oaks Barn is perfectly situated to explore all surrounding areas. Super comfortable bed and a good sized shower with instant hot water. Great to be able to park right next to the barn. Nice selection of items for a self making breakfast including fresh eggs from the resident chickens. There is a handy little fold away table and chairs for eating from or playing cards on. Oaks Barn is perfect for watching red kites and other birds/rabbits etc. Petting the resident goats also a must.

Beautiful rustic barn with all the modern facilities needed for a fabulous stay. Parking right next to the barn was another welcome bonus. Absolutely spotlessly clean - lovely touch with the fresh eggs. Plus there were cereals, milk, biscuits - all the ingredients for a good, healthy breakfast. Gary felt like a long-lost friend - took me for a gorgeous walk through his beloved farm. Loved to hear the deep, sincere passion in his humble voice when he spoke of the his pet animals, the wild creatures that visit the farm seasonally, and everything that is so great about the unspoilt, natural world that he lives in and takes care of. The quaint little villages, the peaceful countryside and the hardworking, humble, polite and friendly country folk are the attributes that put the "Great" into Great Britain - it is not the Monarchy or the bigwig, scallywag politicians, hedge-fund managers or investment bankers - and nobody epitomises that country warmth and humility better than Gary and Kim Bond. A perfect base for any single person or a couple wanting to explore the surrounding villages and parishes - Could not recommend this venue more highly.

Excellent place to run away or as a work base!

The place was very comfortable, super clean and private. I was traveling by car and there was no problem with parking. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. On the property there is an option to be close with nature - goats, chickens, ducks and some wildlife. Near by there is good place to eat if you want a bigger meal and dinks. I will definitely come again whenever I'll have an opportunity.

There is most kitchen appliances that you need - a kettle, a toaster, a fridge and a microwave, I was just missing a small stove, because microwaved eggs are not the best ;) but I totally bet that it can be a fire hazard.

Nice quiet location

Check out time not clearly stated. On the website it says between 6am - 11am and on the evening I have double check to make sure I leave on time but then owner knocked at 10:15 to say that checkout is at 10am. Aa much as I was pleased with the welcome time, the leaving time took excitement away as I was planning to have a morning coffee at the little balcony. And if I would have know, I would get up earlier. Book which is left at the property also doesn’t saying check out time so I went with what is on the website.
