A Bruxiña de Toldaos

The location was great. Beautiful view over the mountains. We are birders and it was like having a luxury bird blind from the huge balcony. The place is huge inside with two bathrooms, one with a shower. Lots of TVs showing Spanish OTA digital channels but there are Smart Tvs too. Floor fans for the heat, no air con. Opening all the windows in the morning to let cool air in and then closing them mid morning made it ok. 8 foot high rock walls around the garden means your dog can't get away so we just opened the door and let her explore. Our dog loved the yard. The pool is great but it needed filling when we arrived so it was very cold for a couple of days even in a heatwave. We would have preferred it full as we communicated to our host twice in advance that we intended to use it. Very close to the town on Monforte de Lemos with large grocery stores, parks, restaurants and events. Minutes from Ferreira de Panton with several cute restaurants and bars. Near the heart of the Ribeira Sacra and Sil Canyon for spectacular river and gorge trips and scenery, river beaches and, of course, WINE! Despite some small hiccups, we recommend this place for peace and sightseeing.

Getting in wasn't easy. We had to call the owner to get the code and way too many instructions (turn on water, gas, electric, fridge, difficult gate lock) over the phone with a faint signal that kept buffering and losing sound. It would be much better for him to use AI to send an english instruction sheet with photos and then asnswer further questions on WhatsApp. There is no wifi in the house, but upstairs the mobile signal is 5G and is usually strong. Also the fridge was turned off when we arrived and took a long time to cool off, we would have preferred it be left on at least on low. We had fresh local food we needed to cool, and we wanted to cool off beer quickly after long, hot drive, Also, no fault of the owner, but there are large off leash dogs in the immediate area so we didn't feel safe walking our little dog. Leashes are mandatory in Spain but often ignored. Some of the dogs are large and mangy and I always carried a large stick to shoo them away. There is a nice dog walking trail if you go right on the paved road out of the property, just before the bridge there's a pulloff on the right with a wide path following the golf course fence. Carry a stick even here, but we didn't see wild dogs here.

Tiene muchos detalles para ir con niños (adaptador WC, bañerita,trona). Un zona tranquila. La casa con todo lo necesario para pasar unos días en familia. El personal amable.

Una casa muy acogedora acompañada de unas vista y una ubicación inmejorable. La casa en perfecto estado y a la que no le faltaba detalle. La comunicación con José Ramón perfecta, atentos en todo momento y pendientes de cualquier necesidad. No somos de repetir ubicacion, pero tenemos claro que la recomendaremos sin dudarlo.

Quedamos muy contentos con esta casa, es muy amplia para grupos grandes y está completamente equipada, no echamos en falta nada , es perfecta.
