About this house rental

Nestled in the woods is this quiet retreat on 5 acres complete with double oven gourmet kitchen hot tub movie theater for 14 , massage chair pool table and ping pong dart boards card table and separate kitchen dining room and living room in entertainment area as well as the custom bar to entertain people.

Departure procedures:
1. Please start all towels and washcloths in the large capacity washer.
2. Remove all trash from the home to the front trash bin located outside of home.
3. Load and start the dishwasher upon departure please.
4. Pull all liens off beds and please place
in the laundry room area.

What a fantastic property! I was looking for a very special place to celebrate a life achievement for my closest friend. Greg was gracious enough to offer his property for our group and it was everything I was hoping for. My friend said this was one of the most meaningful weekends of his life and this home facilitated that. The home is beautiful, tidy, and comforting. We had 10 people easily accommodated and with the theater room we were in heaven. The property is easy to find and full of activities to enjoy! Can’t recommend it enough

The property is beautiful needing TLC. We rented it out for my birthday celebration with friends. The pictures match the propery perfectly. The issues we had with the property is no window treatment which leave little privacy in the main floor bedrooms especially the master suite. We had a issue with the jack & jill bathroom on the first floor due to the door not locking nor stayin close. In addition we got locked in the bathroom in the basement & had to duct tape the latch. The hot tub needs to be drained & cleaned very murky. No hot water for a good portion of the 2nd day. There are no dressers in the rooms only two of the bedroom have a tv (the master suite tv couldn't be turned on)The host doesn't reply to messages timely, I did have to reach out several times to get check in instructions & when we blew a fuse cooking outside. I would recommend this property if the major safety & cleanliness issues were resolved.

We rented this home for a group of 10 friends and overall we enjoyed our stay. The theater room upstairs is by far the highlight, but the pool table and hot tub were also well used. The home is definitely a little neglected. It almost seems like a model home that was never lived in but the garage shows signs of a full time resident. The biggest concern was privacy, as there are no curtains or blinds on any of the windows. The hot tub was murky and had debris. Little things were missing in the kitchen (trash bags, paper towels, clean sponges, etc.) but you can get by with what’s provided. The king bedroom downstairs and the bathroom downstairs locked our guests in! They were unable to get out and had to yell for assistance. The beds were all mostly comfortable! The master bed is by far the best. No darts for the dartboard and the massage chair downstairs more of a hazard to the body than anything. But for a group our size to all have a bedroom, it was worth it! And can’t say enough how awesome that home theater was!

We got to the property and found a pickup truck in the driveway. This was our first clue. Then I was unable to obtain a key or passcode. We could see through the window and saw clothes on the dining table and could hear that someone was inside. Rang the doorbell repeatedly. Was finally able to message the host through the app (the listing was no longer visible through the app). Finally a guy came to the door and claimed that VRBO had taken the listing down without his knowledge and the he had no visibility to the reservations. He told us he could have the place ready in 2 hours and left us $60 to compensate us for our trouble. We had made these reservations in May (AND PAID FOR THE STAY) after our mother had passed. October was the only time our families could come together and bury her ashes and celebrate her life together. A few hours were precious to us. Very disappointed in our experience and doubt that any of us will ever use VRBO again.

We had a Christian retreat with six couples! Plenty of room, a Beautiful house and such an enjoyable weekend!! The kitchen was well stocked the porch with hot tub was awesome. The movie room amazing!! We would return for sure. Simply a beautiful property!

This is a beautiful house! It's very spacious and served our multi-generational family well. The master is on the ground floor which was great for my elderly parents who have difficulty with stairs. There were great spaces for everyone to relax in their own way and the movie theatre was very impressive. Things that mattered to my family were: At night, the nearest neighbors property light shone directly into the master window so we built a pillow fort to block it out each night since there are no window coverings in the house at all. We prefer to unpack for the week so we're not living out of suitcases, but all the bedrooms minus the master were completely unfurnished aside from beds. We love to cook and the kitchen supplies were pretty picked over and we had to go out to buy a grilling utensil set as well as additional sheet pan. We tend to pack "must haves" with us anyways, but these items were not anticipated. Also, the house only has a keurig, no traditional coffee maker, so we needed to buy k cups when we got there instead of using the ground coffee we had packed with us. Written instructions would have been appreciated for the electronics in the house, but we managed. Our host answered any questions we had very promptly. Again, beautiful house on a lovely property. We had peace and quiet and stores as well as Oglebay resort were all within 30 minutes. We had a wonderful time!

We absolutely loved our stay here. The pictures really don't do it justice. A number of people said that the rooms, especially the kitchen, were larger and nicer than the pictures seemed. It's in a very quiet and remote location. The driveway is easy to miss so drive slowly down the road. Google Maps directs you to where the house is closest to the road, not the end of the driveway, which is about 100ft from there. Note that there are exterior security cameras. This is understandable, but it would have been nice to have it mentioned in the listing. The one at the front door pointed close to the hot tub, which made a couple people in our group uncomfortable. The property is huge and a lot of it is wooded so we spent a good amount of time outdoors. The massage chair downstairs is the most impressive one I've ever used. Lots of options and well articulated but I had a hard time figuring out how to get the pressure down to a reasonable level. That said, it was still very enjoyable. The theater room is very impressive too, with a ton of extremely comfortable recliners. All around, we can't say enough about this beautiful place. We highly recommend it.

The property and location was perfect to host 10 of us coming from parts of OH, PA and MD to celebrate a delayed family Xmas. The house was well appointed and had everything we needed for our stay. The pool table, theater and hot tub were huge hits with everyone. We would definitely stay there again for future family gatherings.

The house is so well designed and built from the hand hewn bar in the basement up to the remarkable theater in the top floor. Peaceful view of the meadow and deer from the hot tub out back. Great family get together!!

The house is amazing. Very spacious and has all the comforts of home. We absolutely loved the fully stocked kitchen and the theater. We had plenty of space for our family of 14 to gather for Christmas. We will definitely stay here again. Greg promptly responded to any questions we had.

The house was beautiful with a lot of room for our family. Movie room was a hit, pool room was a hit and enough room for all of us. We did have some issues. Ran out of water day 2 which took a few hours for trucks to refill. Owner did respond quickly. Wasnt as secluded as we thought. Had 2 people stop while we were there looking for owner and to get wood from property. Did have to clean areas of house. Not hateful but things we did find and cleaned ourself. Many flying bugs in movie room from previous people leaving windows open when we arrived. Not having window coverings was not great along with no stands in bedrooms making us put everything on floor was different. Overall our family vacation was amazing despite issues.

We get together every year for my Dad's birthday. This house offered a central location so everyone was able to attend. The house is more beautiful in person than the pictures give credit for. The property is quiet an peaceful. The kids loved the movie room while the adults utilized the outdoor space. We had everything we needed. Communication with the owner was easy, and check in and out couldn't have been easier. Some people mentioned the lack of curtains or window coverings as a negative, but the layout of the property gives all the privacy that you need. Besides, it gave a beautiful display of the nighttime sky and stars. I highly recommend this place, and would gladly book it again.

We really enjoyed the house! It was spacious and had everything we were looking for. The lack of curtains/blinds on the windows was a bit of a nuisance in the early morning hours. The theatre room was excellent and the hot tub was enjoyed by all!

We had 13 out-of-town guests stay for several days for a family vacation and birthday party. I’m one of the days we hosted a picnic for 20 additional local people. The place is perfect for relaxing vacation. I recommend it if you’re looking for a relaxing time.

Our family absolutely loved this home! Nothing but positives! So beautiful! Extremely clean and spacious! And perhaps the most important thing to our family, it is wheelchair friendly! There is plenty of room for the family to gather together to eat (on both levels), watch movies and play games. The house is so spacious in fact, that one of the kids' favorite activities was to "go exploring" inside! The kids also really enjoyed the pool table, hot tub and massage chair. The grounds are well kept and lots of outdoor furniture. There is also a small fire pit. Very quiet. Host had brochures for Barkcamp State Park and Epworth Park. We enjoyed both and they're very close. So happy we found this rental and hope to return soon! Host is helpful and responds quickly if you have questions. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Great home for a large family gathering. Lots of room to play, indoors and out. Well equipped kitchen made for easy meals, which was key since there isn't much around. Still, it's a quick zip off the freeway and easy to find. Only complaint was that none of the bedrooms had window coverings or furniture beyond the bed. Given the remote location, privacy wasn't a concern with the uncovered windows but the sun made for an early wakeup call. And, without a dresser, nightstand, table, or anything else, there was no place other than the floor to put jewelry, glasses, phone, book, etc. in the bedrooms. Hopefully they're still working to fully furnish the bedrooms like the rest of the well appointed home. Overall a great getaway.

The place is so beautiful I have no idea we’re to start! The house has so many small detail that make it so beautiful, the kitchen is wonderful! If you like to cook that is your paradise kitchen. The downstairs is perfect if you are a big group, don’t forget to use the massage chair! That chair can do miracles! The movie theater room, is not a room it is a movie theater! It is perfect ! The house has an amazing surround system in almost every room The hot tub outside is huge you can easily fit 5 people! Again I don’t think I can do justice to the place with just my words! We strongly suggest to anyone!

We booked it for our early couples Christmas exchange. The house is beautiful and there’s plenty of space, we will definitely go back for any future getaway. Greg was very easy to communicate with and got back right away with any questions we had. I highly recommend this place for any gatherings.

This beautiful and welcoming country home was perfect for our family gathering with plenty of bright clean bedrooms, a wonderful large high-end kitchen , a dining area that easily seated all twelve of us, comfortable spaces for sitting, reading and visiting, and the hot tub, pool table and massage chair were greatly appreciated. . The home is sparkling clean and thoughtfully appointed. We enjoyed the large yard for family games of “Simon says” and “Red River”, and watched World Cup soccer together in the theater. Our BEST EVER gathering!
