The Oar House is a unique, fun, and tranquil lake front cabin with room for the whole family. Spacious enough to sleep 12 people, and cozy enough for 2. You will enjoy deer, turkey or maybe a fox meandering across the trail to the boat dock as you sit on the upper deck sipping your morning coffee. It is beautiful here on the lake. So come fishing, use our kayaks, or just sit on the dock and soak up the sun as you enjoy watching Henerietta, the local Blue Heron do her own fishing.
The Oar House is a Fish Camp type cabin, but super cool, quirky and fun! The main floor has a main floor bedroom with queen size pillow top bed located across from the full bathroom. Then down the hall is the equipped kitchen and living room. The back door leads out to the upper floor deck with cable railing, grill, outdoor dining area all overlooking the lake and beautiful woods. There is a large loft bedroom overlooking the living room below. Here, for your comfort is a comfy queen bed, a reading chair, and lamp.
Go down the stairs in the living room to the fully finished basement full of surprises. Here are two, (maybe three) bedrooms with bunk beds, ship beds, hideaway beds and a private bedroom with a queen-sized bed.
Of the front porch there is a tiered walk way to the Oar House Bunk House. Customized for all ages. there is a kitchenette, bunk beds and a cool sleeping loft with 3 super comfortable air mattresses. Bring your sleeping bags or bedding for this loft but the bunk bed is made up with fresh linens.
The huge wrap around deck is a great area to sit and relax. Or walk down to the stone fire pit and roast marsh mellows. The bunk house has its own little firepit in the walkway.
Below both houses is a wide natural partially lit walking path to the lake. At the lake you will find another fire pit and logs all around to sit on. The dock is covered with room for boats in the middle, and the left and right sides.
We have a two-man kayak with oars and life jackets, as well as a single person kayak. Both are free and for your enjoyment. Inside the main house are a few rod and reels, and some basic tackle, all free of charge.
The Oar House is freshly renovated in 2022 with too many special features to list. You will love it.

We had a really great time. The host was very responsive. This place was good. The walk to the lake is a bit more like a hike which was hard for us with little children and my disabled father in law but we managed. Definitely recommend bringing something to go back and forth to the dock.
