Athena Apartment

- New flat, everything was very clean, much appreciated - We met host only at check in, kind guy and he gave us good tips and suggestions - Appreciated complementary food & beverage left for us (some fruit and breakfast stuff, some water and beer, etc.) - Also appreciated having shampoos / bathroom items, not taken for granted in a flat - Flat was fully equipped: we did a couple of laundries, there was basic medical emergency equipment in the flat, appreciated the presence of a fire extinguisher (just in case) - As this is a peripheral area of Argostoli (ca. 5/10’ walk to reach the beginning of the city centre; did not mind it and actually liked the walk, but crossing the street is a bit unsafe as there are no pedestrian crossings nearby), the big plus is parking space: not extreme abundance of parking slots but we always managed to park our car in front of the flat; this is a big plus for peace of mind during your holiday, as Argostoli has a big parking problem - This is a neutral point: consider there is no cleaning/apartment service during your stay. We were ok with it as we stayed for 3 days - Area was pretty calm, no noise around from traffic - Owner lives above / in front of the flat, so should you need anything, they are just a call away - Bathroom was not very big but honestly for us it was totally fine!

- For not very deep sleepers: AC units are quite old and a bit noisy, we did not manage to keep them on during the night. Downside is, keeping the bedroom open leaves a lot of light in (door with glass frames in the morning, and emergency sign above the front door which is always on). I would not keep the windows open either due to i) being on the ground floor ii) noise from outside activity in the morning. - The whole area looks pretty run down. This is a pity as residents make 0 effort to keep it tidy / in order (abandoned cars, etc.). The only nice house is this flat and the owner’s flat (above). We triple checked whether we were at the right address when we arrived. Despite this, the area is absolutely safe; however, it is a first impression that stays with you.

El apartamento está en muy buen estado, muy limpio y cuidado. La cocina está perfectamente equipada y tiene todo lo necesario: menaje completo, táperes para llevar comida, congelador y muchos otros detalles que se agradecen. Además, dispone de lavadora e incluso dejan detergente para usarla. La habitación es muy cómoda y hemos descansado muy bien. En general, el apartamento tiene todas las comodidades para sentirte como en casa y nuestra estancia ha sido excelente. Sin duda, lo recomendaríamos.

Como punto a mejorar, el baño es un poco pequeño. Aun así, está bien aprovechado y dispone de todo lo necesario, por lo que no ha supuesto un problema durante la estancia.

I had a great stay! Albion was very professional, present, and always helpful throughout my time here. The apartment was well-furnished, spotlessly clean, and offered everything I needed. Its location is excellent (very close to the center), which made getting around really convenient. I would definitely recommend it!
