Rooms for skinny guests (bathroom size: XS) above a Greek restaurant

The property (and I avoid the word 'hotel') is right across the Schloss Schleswig, so if you are looking to visit the museum there the location is perfect for you. After the museum we strolled trough the city centre and to the harbour, and from there it's a 30mins walk back to the property. Our room was cosy and felt clean and newly renovated, we liked the style and the design. Check-in was contactless with a passcode that we received per email beforehand. There were plenty of car parking spaces available free of charge right in front of the property so that was wonderful. Breakfast was included in our rate and we were able to order breakfast (including a glass of sparking wine!) from a menu, completed our wish list and left it on the counter of the Greek restaurant, no employee in sight. Breakfast then was a good experience, we met a very caring and kind employee and felt well looked after.

We had a good stay but I can easily see a few obstacles for other travellers. The contactless check-in means that you have to communicate with someone responsible by email or by phone. That's ok but it may delay a quick solution. I had difficulties locating the property on Google Maps. When we arrived we realised that on the ground floor of the property is a Greek restaurant, hence why I feel this is less of a hotel but rooms above a restaurant. In order to get to the rooms you walk into the restaurant and straight ahead you find a door that reads 'hotel'. Go through there and up the stairs, no elevator as far as I could tell. Our room was cute and cosy but the bathroom was extremely small. I loved the design and the colours and everything was clean and tidy, but I could easily imagine a heavier guest facing severe issues entering the shower. And because there is no staff on site said guest would need to call a number to ask for help, ie a bigger room. That does not seem ideal. The coffee machine in our room did not work but that was not the end of the world.

Good location, good clean rooms, breakfast not bad.

The system does not work. I was not sent the room codes or room info by email (and needed help from another guest to call someone), another guest accessed my room in the middle of the night apparently with the code to my room and my 3 messages via booking.com that say 'usually answered within 24 hours' have not been acknowledged, let alone answered. Most dissatisfying all round.

Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und hat alle unsere Wünsche erfüllt. Wir erhielten ein reichhaltiges Frühstück in ruhiger Umgebung.

Alt i alt et hyggeligt sted, men det var for dyrt ift. det man får.

Indretningen på værelserne var fint, og der var rent. Værten var meget imødekommende og sød.

Badeværelset var meget lille på værelse 105, man skulle ikke været meget større end mig og min mand, for ikke at kunne sidde på toilettet, og komme ind i bruseren. Morgenmaden var sparsommeligt, og ikke som jeg forbinder med hotel morgenmad. Det var meget koldt i spisestuen.

Zimmer und Ausstattung waren relativ neu und sauber. Das Frühstück sehr gut und die Bedienung am Morgen sehr freundlich.

Zimmer und Bad sind schon sehr klein, für eine Nacht ist das okay, aber für einen längeren Urlaub nicht zu empfehlen.

Rigtig fin og venlig morgenmads servering. God seng og pænt værelse. Trods beliggenhed ved store veje, var der ok stille på værelset.

Man savner dog opholdsplads og siddeplads på værelset eller på hotellet, inde og ude. Badeværelset er meget småt.

Es war ein schöner Kurzaufenthalt.

Die Lage war etwas außerhalb der Innenstadt, ca 1,5 km, Parkmöglichkeiten vor dem Hotel. Das Frühstück war gut . Man konnte auf einer Karte ankreuzen, was gewünscht wurde. Das Einchecken per Code funktionierte ohne Probleme.

Das Bad war geräumig, offensichtlich neu. Die Idee, Frühstückswünsche wie im Krankenhaus anhand einer kleinen Liste anzukreuzen. Erspart den Überfluss bei einem Büffett

Das Hotel hatte seinen Namen geändert, so dass ich vor dem Haus mit einem griechischen Restaurant und einem griechischen Namen stand. Natürlich verschlossen, obwohl ich ab 14 Uhr hätte einchecken können. Erst ein Nachbar hat mir erklärt, dass es sich um mein gebuchtes Hotel handelt. Ich hatte keine Zugangsdaten - erst durch einen Anruf bei dem Besitzer stellte sich heraus, dass er mir während meines Dänemark-Urlaubes die Zugangsdaten gemailt hatte. Dann konnte ich endlich das Zimmer beziehen. Winzig klein - wirklich nur für eine Übernachtung geeignet. Ein Doppelbett, ein Stuhl, 2 kl.Nachttische, ein kl.Schrank. Sehr hellhörig, da die Zimmer auf engstem Raum aufgeteilt waren - nachts um 4 Uhr Gespräche im Nebenzimmer ! Der Schlossblick war ebenfalls nicht vorhanden. Nie wieder!!

Sehr Anonym ohne kontakt zum Personal, keine erklärung was man im Zimmer nutzen kann! Badezimmer eher für kinder, nichts für erwachsene Menschen! Direkt an der Kreuzung, sehr laut!

Unterirdisches Zimmer, kein Versprechen wurde erfüllt

Das Frühstück und Personal war ganz gut und nett, wenn auch ungewohnt das es am vorigen Tag zusammengestellt werden muss, da es kein Buffet gibt.

Die vielfach versprochene Schallisolierung war nicht einmal im Ansatz vorhanden, man hört einfach alles aus dem gesamten Haus. Die Badezimmertür hing schräg und lies sich weder schließen noch würde sie etwas dämmen und hätte somit auch ein Vorhang sein können. Der Seeblick war nicht vorhanden da die Aussicht auf den Hinterhof des Restaurants war, welcher als Raucherbereich genutzt wird und somit durch öffnen der Fenster eine Geruchs Mischung aud Tabak und frittierten mit Tzatziki entgegen kommt. Da es keine Klimaanlage gibt, hat man also die Wahl zwischen ersticken mit erhöhter Lärmbelästigung oder schwitzen. Die bereit gestellten Gläser wurden bereits von mindestens einer Person benutzt und dir Handtüchter hatten Flecken. Vom versprochenen Wasserkocher fehlte auch jegliche Spur. Das Superior Doppelzimmer mit seinen 10qm wird dem Namen somit in keinster Weise gerecht und ist sein Geld nicht wert.

Ohne Zeitdruck anreisen und mit Code einchecken. Sehr sauber. Betten sehr gemütlich und viele Kopfkissen vorhanden. Gute Verdunkelung der Fenster möglich. Schöne Beleuchtung im Zimmer. Vielfältige Fernsehprogramme. Wasser und Espresso im Zimmer.

Etwas eng im Bad. Untere Badschublade kann wegen der Toilette davor nicht geöffnet werden.
