Beautifully remodeled dream home on Round Lake in Hayward, WI! The spacious lake home enjoys a magnificent southern vista overlooking Schoolhouse Bay on 3,000 acre Round Lake. Vacationers love this clear water lake in Northern Wisconsin for its excellent boating and fishing.
The waterfront home has 3 bedrooms and a bunk room, 3 full baths and sits on 2+ acres with 200 feet of lakeshore. A short paddle takes you to a public island in the lake that has a sand bar with the best swimming on the lake! Lounge and take in the lake view from the lakeside deck, patio and screened porch.
Recent updates include a remodeled great room featuring wood burning fireplace in the living room, open fully-equipped kitchen with new appliances and spacious bath with large glass walk-in shower. The main floor has 2 bedrooms including large master suite with desk overlooking the lake and jetted tub and shower in the bath.
The walkout lower level includes a spacious family room with bunk beds, kitchenette, large bath and another lakeside bedroom.

This was even better than the pictures and description! There was plenty of space for play and privacy. The island was our favorite part! It’s hard to have a next favorite because everything was great- bathrooms and kitchen were super clean and well stocked, ready to use. There is a yard big enough in front for frisbee or catch, tables to eat, play games, etc, lots of outdoor seating, cozy fire pit, and covered porch or screen room to enjoy rain and lightning storms. We had married kids and kids home from college and it was a perfect destination for all of us!*A few extra blankets would have been nice for tv time and those that need a little extra heat at night.

We loved this property and hope to book it again for next year. We have utilized a number of VRBOs and this one fit our growing family perfectly. We had 7 adults and 3 children (essentially four families). The property was very clean! Kitchen was new w/excellent appliances, very good pots and pans, plenty of dishes and silverware. The parents w/two kids (4 and 5) used the suite upstairs and the parents with the new baby stayed in the lower level with us grandparents taking the larger bedroom down there too. All the showers were super: walk-in, tiled and the lighting was great. Good internet and a nice big TV in living room and several in other places. Plenty of room to play cards and eat: there is actually two tables with chairs! Also, loved the tall sofa table w/barstools behind the couch to watch TV or in some cases for working on the computer. The PAVED driveway was the best one we ever had at a lake VRBO with a place to park the boat trailer. Also, some cabins don't accommodate trash well and this one had its own little building in which the door shut tightly so the bears couldn't get in. Washer and dryer were so nice to have and very large capacity. The extra kitchen in the basement was good for storing our extra things. We utilized the screened in porch for storing coolers, etc. and used the deck every day for hanging out. Even used the grill for steaks. Now, Round Lake itself is GREAT, docks were very nice and it was easy to get out of the Schoolhouse Bay. We went on our boat to the Dock Bar and Grill for appetizers first day, and then ordered fantastic pizza and broasted chicken there for pickup last night in town. Went to Powell's on our boat as well for a great Walleye dinner which they served all day. We fished and waterskied; just cruised around. The home is just off Hwy 77, a short drive to Hayward (Walmart, etc.) and the casino, as well as golf courses. The only thing for older adults to consider is that there are a lot of steps down to the dock.

Good location on the lake. Clean house with lots of space for people to sleep. The generator was wonderful for when the electricity went out during a storm.
