The Cottage was very nice and showed that the owners have put thought and investment into their property. The overall experience was great and beach access very convenient. The pool was a big hit for our grandson and relaxing time away from the beach.

My wife, parents, brother, two dogs, and I stayed here from 6/15/25-6/22/25. We did early check in and the process was very smooth. The house has keyless entry so we didn't have to worry about keys. Upon entering the home, the upstairs had window a/c units in each bedroom and living room/kitchen. That wasn't part of the house description. After calling Carolina Shores, they told us the central a/c was broken and would be fixed the Monday or Tuesday of our stay. We were annoyed that we weren't told about it beforehand. It turned out to be fine, because the window units kept the house cool, although they were haphazardly installed in the windows and napkins were stuffed around the one. They ended up not coming to fix it during our stay because we didn't want to have to deal with our dogs and strangers in the home. The downstairs, however, was kept extremely cool with the mini split units. Other than that, this is a very nice house in a central location to restaurants, shops, coffee, etc. We really enjoyed the front sun room and the pool. There is no TV in the upstairs living room area, which was lame because the upstairs was a nice place to gather with our family. The beach access is right across the road up a hill on the dune. There were a lot of spiders in the downstairs bedroom and family room, but other than that we had a great stay here!

For a last-minute booking it was pretty decent. Lots of beach chairs, umbrellas etc. to use. I will say it could have been a lot cleaner. The steps going upstairs were disgusting and needs replacing. The dryer also did not work. Looks like someone keeps rigging the starter knob and then it just falls off every time someone goes to use it. Location is great, especially if you hit the beach a lot or surf fish. The dirty bed sheets were left on the picnic table out front until mid-week, so that wasn't very appealing, but it could surely be worse.
