We stayed for six nights at around €400 per night, and unfortunately, the value did not match the price. The property presents itself as a luxury farmstay, but the experience was not truly “luxury.” On the positive side, the location is excellent—very close to Otranto, making it easy to explore the beaches in the area. The staff were absolutely wonderful: attentive, warm, and always ready to help with recommendations, reservations, and anything we needed. The animals on the property—horses, donkeys, dogs, cats, and chickens—add charm and create a magical atmosphere, especially for families with children. We noticed that families with kids seemed to enjoy it a lot, as the children could freely explore and interact with the animals.

However, we found several aspects disappointing given the premium cost. Our room was directly beside the kitchen and dining area, which made it noisy and lacking in privacy. The bed was simply two singles pushed together and not very comfortable, and the bathroom design caused constant water overflow onto the floor. Small touches that you would expect at a luxury property were missing—such as mosquito nets or measures to deal with the many flies, which made it hard to relax. Pricing also felt excessive across the board. Dinner was €65 per person and while good, it didn’t compare to the quality we experienced at restaurants for the same or lower price. Cocktails and even small items like a beach towel (€65) were significantly more expensive than elsewhere. We stayed at other masserias in a similar price range, and the difference in value was striking—at those places, the meals, drinks, and details truly matched the premium cost, whereas here it often felt overpriced without the same level of quality. Overall, this masseria may be a wonderful fit for families with children who want a farm experience surrounded by animals, but for couples seeking a romantic or truly luxurious stay, it falls short. We left feeling that the location and staff were the real highlights, but the comfort, attention to detail, and value for money were not at the level we expected for the price.
