Located at the quiet north end of the lake, this home offers beautiful lake views, a private dock and boathouse, excellent crappie fishing, and a peaceful protected no-wake cove perfect for kayaking, floating and relaxing.

FISHING & LAKE LIFE
Crappie House is located in an area known for excellent crappie fishing, with the lake right outside your door and a private dock and boathouse for easy access to the water.
Bring your boat — gas motors are allowed on Lake Palo Pinto — or enjoy the lake from one of the two kayaks provided. Life jackets are provided for the kayaks.
The protected no-wake cove is ideal for kayaking, paddling, floating and enjoying peaceful mornings or beautiful sunsets on the water.
Please do not dive or jump from the dock. There may be submerged stumps in the water.
SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS:
Crappie House sleeps up to 5 guests.
Downstairs private bedroom: Queen bed with a private en-suite bathroom
Upstairs private bedroom: Queen bed with access to the upstairs bathroom
Upstairs alcove: Twin bed in a walk-through sleeping area leading to the upstairs private bedroom
Please note that the upstairs alcove is not a fully enclosed bedroom. It provides an additional sleeping space and is especially suitable for a child or single guest.

A NOTE ABOUT THE HOME:
Some wood used in the home's foundation and trim was treated with creosote. There may occasionally be a slight creosote smell. While the odor is not strong, we do not recommend this property for guests with asthma or respiratory sensitivities.
To help improve indoor air quality, we have added HEPA-rated A/C filters and a NuWave Smart Air Purifier with multi-stage filtration to help reduce odors, pet dander and airborne particles.

This property definitely has an amazing lake vibe to it. The owner is great at communication, generous with her time to do so and has answers to all the questions about the area. Check in and out was quick and easy with no issues at all. The beds are very comfortable as are the pillows! So much space for our big Greater Swiss Mountain Dog and a covered dock to sit and play cards at as well as an enclosed dock with two kayaks and life jackets included. My mom absolutely loved the place and the architecture of the house.Son caught a good sized catfish while we were there and fun was had by all. We will definitely come back for all these reasons as well as the very reasonable pricing.

We had an amazing stay at this cabin! The host was incredibly welcoming, responsive, and made sure we had everything we needed. The cabin was spotless, beautifully maintained, and felt comfortable from the moment we arrived.It was fully stocked with all the essentials, making our stay easy and relaxing. The attention to detail was exceptional, and you can tell the owners truly care about their guests’ experience.If you’re looking for a peaceful, clean, and comfortable getaway with a fantastic host, this is the place. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for the perfect cabin retreat!

This rental is spacious and it was very clean. Sometimes the cabin on the lake can be a little "rustic". This place was not dusty or spider-y or anything. The master shower is excellent with tons of hot water and wonderful pressure. A couple of things we didn't care for. There was a really strong musty smell, the whole time, to the point out clothes and bags smelled like it when we got home. But there had been a big rain and it likely caused some mildew-y smells to "awaken." It's nature. I understand. We ran the air purifiers but it didn't help much. And the yard was sort of a mess of sticks, weeds, uneven terrain, and tall grass. I would probably think it needs to be mowed, but also a huge rain came through before we arrived and maybe that's the reason for the debris. All in all, I liked the house and our kids loved fishing off the pier. They even saw a beaver swim up one evening!
