About this cottage rental
The Vadillo Convent is a historic building founded in 1219 for the Canons Regular of St. Augustine, which served as a convent until the 18th century.
It is a place steeped in history where you can be transported back in time, set in the town of Frías, where traces of the medieval era can be seen in countless details.
The Vadillo Convent features two double bedrooms plus a “suite” (with a sitting area and private bathroom), a living room, a spacious kitchen with a dining area, two additional bathrooms, and a magnificent private courtyard garden with a barbecue where you can enjoy quality time.
It sleeps six people (eight with a sofa bed), and pets are welcome. You’ll have the entire house to yourself, with bedding and towels included, and while it retains its old-world charm, it offers all the modern conveniences to make your stay more enjoyable: a washing machine, TV, a full set of kitchenware, and more.
From here, you can explore Frías, a charming medieval town named one of the most beautiful villages in Spain, featuring its castle, hanging houses, a medieval bridge over the Ebro River, and cobblestone streets. There are also attractions such as Tobera and its waterfalls, Orbaneja del Castillo, the Ojo Guareña Natural Monument, and much more.
