East Farm Cottage

Beautifully clean, comfortable and just what we needed for a base to explore the local area. Kitchen was well equipped and the living area was large enough for our family of 3. The garden was lovely and secure and the surrounding farm land was a beautiful back drop.

Our sat nav had a laugh at us trying to find the property initially but after 30m of doing loops, we got there - the instructions from Sykes helped if you came from Market Rasen - so we turned around and did so in the end!

The cottage was spotlessly clean and the facilities and amenities were exactly as described. There were lots of nice little touches such as tea, coffee, biscuits and cleaning materials being supplied. The location is very dark at night and there were also two torches supplied, (we also had some nightlights which proved to be very useful).. The wood burning stove in the lounge was very effective, just as well as the temperature plummeted when we were there. There is a large Tesco less than ten minutes away.

The drive is a little narrow and we had to step on to the grass when exiting the car, which was soft and wet due to recent heavy rains. We didn't get the written instructions for locating the cottage and the postcode doesn't take you to the cottage. We found it difficult to find as the roads were so dark, fortunately I had looked it up on Google Earth before setting off so did eventually find it. The number given to call the owner direct actually just takes you to Sykes. We hadn't been given instructions on how to obtain the keys to get in, fortunately Sykes were able to help us.
