Buitenplaats Petersburg

Layout was spacious and the sleeping area was very comfortable. Shower worked well. Nice to be in rural setting within the trees. Good to have access to an on-site Italian restaurant. Access into Arnhem/National Park with so many visitor attractions

Wifi was intermittent if we put the hob on and sometimes not at all. Could have benefitted from additional or different seating in the lounge area as more of a bench than a comfortable chair - although we were not in the lodge for too long.

Wonderful spot in nature, super relaxing in front of the woods

Not sure why you have to do the dishes on your way out but its not a big deal

My partner and I loved staying there so much that we already booked (while enjoying our vacation at this place 😝) to go back again during Christmas time. Totally recommended!

Nothing!

The lodge had everything we needed and nothing we didn't. Ample space for a couple for a week. It was warm, the bed and the living area seating were comfortable, and we could cook basic meals in the kitchenette. Excellent free WiFi included. Very peaceful, loved watching the wildlife through the big windows. Great base for visiting Hoge Veluwe park and other attractions around Arnhem. Wealth of walking routes in the municipal woodland near the site. We liked Il Lupo on site and the Schaarsbergen Pannekoekhuis, a short walk away through the woods.

The bus service from Arnhem stops 20 minutes walk away in the evenings and at weekends so it was a less convenient place to stay without a car, though we still managed to get around quite a bit.
