Escape to a quiet mountain cabin just 10 minutes from downtown Ellijay. Relax on 3 private decks, soak in the hot tub, enjoy evenings around the fire pit beneath the stars, and explore Walnut Mountain's hiking trails and four private lakes. Red Maple Cabin is perfect for couples, families, girls' weekends, or a relaxing mountain getaway. With 3 bedrooms, it comfortably sleeps up to 6 guests. Nestled in the gated Walnut Mountain community, this peaceful mountain retreat offers hiking trails, four private lakes, a seasonal pool, tennis courts, and beautiful wooded surroundings.
Sip your morning coffee from one of 3 decks while listening to the mountain stream and watching deer walk by. Later relax in the hot tub or around the fire pit beneath the stars after a day exploring Ellijay. (Just 10 minutes to downtown Ellijay and 23 minutes to Blue Ridge).
As you arrive at the cabin you are greeted by the front deck with several inviting rocking chairs. Inside are wood walls and wood floors for that true cabin experience.
One of our favorite things about Red Maple Cabin is the peaceful setting. At night the stars are incredible, and during the day you'll often spot squirrels, chipmunks, birds, and deer right from the deck.
The main level features the living room with a high vaulted ceiling, a cozy fireplace, two queen bedrooms, a full bath, and well-equipped kitchen. Off the kitchen is the second deck running the entire length of the cabin with a plumbed gas grill and perfect views.
The upper/loft main bedroom features a king-size bed, private full bathroom, reading nook, and double doors opening to the private screened deck.
Downstairs (basement) is a large game room with a Smart TV, sitting area, a regulation size cornhole set, game table, and lots of games.
Outdoors, the back yard features a wood-burning fire pit for enjoying great conversations on a chilly night. Blankets are provided too.
Lake Dakwa is just a 5-minute walk away for fishing, kayaking, and hiking.
The private king suite is located upstairs while two queen bedrooms are on the main level.

Cabin was clean, spacious, and quiet. All of the furniture and the king bed were comfortable. We really enjoyed the hot tub and outdoor seating. We walked the community grounds and hiked a few of the trails around two of the lakes. The only bad thing was we couldn't use the fire pit but that was due to nature and the red flag warnings, so out of our control. Dan is an excellent host and great with communication and ideas for exploring the area. We'll be back.
