This semi detached 1BR/1 Bath home is perfectly situated in the best kept secret for long stays in Key West - the White Street Gallery District. White Street is the most amenity rich street in Key West. From it's beautiful pier to the south right up to it's north end, White Street offers just about everything you would ever need. This home is located across from Bayview Park, which hosts numerous events throughout the year. There are basketball courts as well as tennis courts and childrens playground accessible to all. The exterior of this home is immaculate, the grounds lush and well maintained. For those with dogs joining them, the backyard is absolutely secure and very dog friendly. The inground pool is perfectly sized and does not get deeper than 5 feet which is very enjoyable. Outside is a brand new gas grille with side burner, a wonderful gazebo with ceiling fan to keep you cool and the noseeums at bay. There is a poolside changeroom/2 PC bathroom, which is very convenient, along with an outdoor shower. Inside the home, no expense has been spared and the quality of the furnishings (Wolf, Viking, Dash & Albert, Ballard Designs, Restoration Hardware) are why I've titled it an "Executive" stay. The bedroom is well appointed and the king size bed extremely comfortable. I think the front den area, with it's fold out sofa, while lovely and quite serviceable for a last minute stay for guests, would not serve as a second bedroom due to it's proximity to the front door, lack of closet etc. The main living area is spacious, comfortable and very well appointed. The kitchen is a cook's dream and overall the open concept makes it a pleasure to entertain in (we hosted Christmas dinner for 7). I would have given this property a 5 star review, but for the fact that it has a significant Rooster problem, of which the owner is more than aware of and is actively taking steps to remedy. In short, I recommend you bring ear plugs because Key West Roosters crowing starts in earnest around 2am and continues till day break. If you are a light sleeper, like we are, you are going to lose sleep and this will affect your stay. Apart from that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend this property to an active couple looking for deluxe accomodation with a private pool.
