Balcon de Europa Suite

An excellent stylish location, very well equipped. Everything we needed. Great views over the Balcon. Our host Ron was very helpful.

The only thing that would have improved our stay would be 2 comfortable easy chairs.

A fabulous bright and spacious apartment in an excellent location. A superb view of the Balcon and close to restaurants,cafes,beach etc etc. Right in the centre of things but no issues with noise at night as none of the surrounding restaurants/bars are open late. Excellent communication from the hosts and Ron was in touch during our stay to make sure all was well. A great place to relax as you watch the world go by.....we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.

There was genuinely nothing to dislike about the place. All good.

The stay was exactly as presented in the listing. The location is truly unique – right on Balcón de Europa. We spent hours just sitting on the balcony enjoying the atmosphere without doing anything in particular, while still experiencing everything happening below: street musicians playing guitar and violin, people passing by, and the sea just steps away. The apartment itself was extremely well equipped and lacked nothing – soap in all dispensers, washing machine, drying rack, beach chairs and no less than five air-conditioning units. A bottle of champagne on the table when we arrived was also a very nice touch. The host followed up our arrival well in advance, and both check-in and parking worked perfectly and without any hassle. We would happily stay here again.

The reason we rate the stay 9 instead of 10 is only a few minor maintenance details. Some door handles were a bit loose, the toilet flush button and its wall fixture were not fully secured, a few trims on the kitchen doors needed fixing, and one downlight was slightly loose. There were also small areas with minor paint wear. That said, these details did not affect our stay at all – if anything, it gave the comfortable feeling of staying in a real place without having to worry ourselves about all the ongoing maintenance that naturally comes with such a beautiful property.

This location cannot be beat: overlooking the bustling Balcon, steps (literally) from Playa Calahonda, gorgeous ocean and sunrise views from the numerous large windows, and the whole of central Nerja with hundreds of cafes, shops and restaurants at your finger tips. Secure parking nearby so day-trips were a breeze. The kitchen was nicely equipped and there are two covered balconies to enjoy at whatever time of day (there's always something going on, we got to watch the Carnival parade with wine in hand). It bears mentioning again, OMG the views are incredible - we loved to cook our own meals and enjoy the views which patrons of the restaurants below pay a premium for. Hosts Ron and Heidi were excellent, responsive and always helpful, thank you both!

Ron and Heidi provide lush towels and linens, so we didn't feel comfortable taking their towels to the beach, so some beach towels etc would be great. The furniture (while very stylish) is a little form over comfort.
