The inviting Flensburger Möwe penthouse apartment, located in a charming old fisherman’s house near the Kapitänsviertel, impresses with its cozy atmosphere. The exposed beams, the loft, the wood-burning stove, and the view of the harbor create a special sense of well-being. Despite its central location, the apartment is situated on a quiet one-way street.
With approximately 65 m², its two bedrooms offer the ideal retreat in every season and make it a perfect starting point for trips to the coast or leisurely strolls along the harbor and through the pedestrian zone.
“Hygge,” the Danish word for coziness, is a top priority here. At the Flensburger Möwe, guests seeking peace and quiet will find just the right amount of relaxation. This lovingly renovated fisherman’s cottage, built in 1860, features exposed original beams, so guests taller than 1.80m may occasionally have to duck their heads. Its location on a picturesque one-way street on a hillside on the east side of the Flensburg harbor gives the building a very special charm.
The two separate bedrooms offer plenty of space for up to four people. The half-timbered walls and furnishings featuring genuine antiques contribute to the cozy atmosphere and invite you to linger, even during the colder months. The spacious bathroom with a window and the modern, well-equipped kitchen for four people round out the amenities. Two balconies overlooking the harbor and the Old Town are perfect for breakfast or a relaxing sundowner.
The attic apartment is accessible via a staircase. The historic, steep, and winding staircase in the stairwell does not comply with current building codes but is protected under grandfathering provisions. Therefore, it is not suitable for guests with mobility impairments.
A designated parking space directly at the house is included in the booking price. Dogs are welcome upon request and for an additional fee.
There’s no better place to experience the famous Danish “hygge” than in the historic districts of Flensburg. The harbor and downtown, with its main shopping street, are just a few minutes’ walk away.
