Venetian Well Gallery apartment in Corfu Old Town

Super cozy Venetian style, right in the middle of the center of town, literally on the doorstep of all shops, restaurants etc.

Excellent location, such a cute apartment with lots of natural light and a nice balcony.

The stairs are a little tricky but this was forewarned, and the bathroom is not very functional (small, and water goes everywhere from shower and sink).

Location was superb, especially for the price Quirky interesting decor someone put a lot of thought in to it

Bed was a bit too hard for our liking. Balcony was lovely but couldn't use it due to the deep fried fat smell coming from the restaurant, not the hotels fault but just meant had to stay shut

Excellent central location. Started off great with a custom whatsapp message, but then didn't reply for the following 24h, until when we were in front of the property. The living room is spatious, and the kitchen is fully stocked.

The host didn't allow us to drop our bags before check-in time, instead directing us to a business that had luggage lockers. The phone on the receipt of the lockers was the same as the property provided by booking.com, and we eventually found out that they're owned by the same group - we felt a bit conned by that. The property itself would be suitable for Bnb websites, but not booking.com. The air conditioning wasn't working, the staircase leading to the second floor isn't suitable for anyone with reduced mobility, and it's too dark (see picture). The hot water is heated by an electric boiler that must not be kept on all the time, so you have to wait 15min before showering. On that subject, no floormat in the bathroom, nowhere to attach the shower head, and the hose would only reach shoulder height, forcing you to crouch to reach your head, making hair washing difficult. The toilet was placed 10cm from the adjacent wall, so you have to sit diagonally. The bed mattress was very hard, although I have no problems with hard beds. All rooms have crocked flooring, nothing is square.
