Narrow Neck Lodge

Great house for a large group of people. Beautiful views, nice log fire, and everything you need.

Suggest arriving in the daylight to navigate the driveway for the first time, then it's no problem.

The location is simply magnificent - all the bedrooms were comfortable and it was really great to have the jacuzzi and watch the sunset over the distant mountains. The lodge is very close to Katoomba and Blue Mountains attractions, but we felt were miles away from everyone deep in the mountains. Wonderful view - with wallabies visiting at dusk. Amenities were very good. Our family had a fantastic week.

There is hardly anything to dislike. Only comment is the stove is a bit old - the oven took a while to work out.

This property gives magnificent, uninterrupted views of the surrounding escarpment and valleys from the living area and enormous balcony. Its three bedrooms with ensuites make it ideally suited for up to three couples plus perhaps a few children. There seems to be everything you could want in the way of appliances, kitchen equipment, games, and books. Overall, very clean and comfortable.

Check-in is not to 4pm, but the hosts kindly managed to have the property ready a little after 2pm.The furniture and building itself are starting to look a little tired and worn and in need of brightening up. The cost was made up of accommodation charge, plus booking fee ($100), plus $100pd cleaning fee, plus a stripe transaction fee (2.9%) on all items including the bond. A single accommodation fee would have felt friendlier. There is a steep drive and steps to and within the property if guests have any mobility issues.

The house was suitable for our group weekend away.

Poor customer service from property management group spoiled the experience before we got there! The booking process felt very demanding, intrusive and disrespectful. Fees, fees, fees... upload your ID... pay a bond... provide credit card details (on top of bond)... I was starting to feel like I'd fallen for a scam - but you can't even call anyone to discuss the booking on the phone! Spent the whole stay paranoid that we'd be accused of breaking one of the many already damaged furnishings in the house. Only have the courage to post this review since the bond was refunded. I'll avoid all properties managed by Accommodated Inc in future.
