Great place close to the Amish

The apartment was great. The hostess was friendly and helpful. I didn’t get to meet her but she responded quickly and even asked after check in if we needed anything. There was a parking spot right behind the house and the rooms had everything we needed. Would stay again.

Weekend at the Carriage House

I felt at home at the Carriage House, it was clean and the beds were comfortable. The house was equipped with everything, we only needed to bring food and our clothes. From silverware to dish rags, the kitchen was stocked with all that is needed to cook as if you were in your own home. There was also a table for guests with tourist information and a binder with menus for local restaurants.The owner was very nice and polite, she was available when we had any questions. She emailed me precise directions to the property the day before my trip. I was very pleased with my stay and would highly recommend the Carriage House.

Friendly, responsive hostess. Nice location. Thoughtful “touch” with the snack basket on the counter! Great towels, water pressure & bathroom fan.

For light sleepers like myself, you’ll appreciate your eye mask & ear plugs. Quaint home is older & creaky, and shades are not blackout shades so lots of light as soon as the sun comes up, which is both good & bad! Second bedroom does not have a door, just a curtain.

Superb

Loved the decor, was super clean and the bed was so comfortable! Wonderful place to stay for an Amish country weekend. It was within walking distance of a downtown area with many shopping and eating options.

Trash pickup outside at 5:40 AM was not the most pleasant of awakenings. But realistically it is tied to time of the week and a necessary part of life that is out of anyone's control.

Exceptional

The beds were very comfortable. Everything was fresh and clean. It was a brief stay, but we would have enjoyed the nice little screened porch and the firepit had we arrived earlier. The snacks were generous.

While the Keurig was great and well-stocked with coffee and hot chocolate, it would have been nice to have hot tea for those of us who are not coffee drinkers and limit sugar.

A beautiful fall weekend

This was a weekend with my aunt and friend. The apartment far exceeded my expectations. There is a lovely living room with a large dining table a beautiful little bathroom with hair dryer and soaps great linens. A fully appointed kitchen with snacks a bottle of wine and choices of K-Pods. The refrigerator was full size and held all of our lovely Amish purchases. You are a block off the main street. We were able to walk down to lunch and dinner. We were able to shop all the charming stores in millersburg, and return to our comfortable abode. We went into crazy Berlin which is so overcrowded these days. I was so thankful we weren't staying anywhere near there. We were quite happy to come back and spend the evening in our apartment listening to beautiful music from the Holmes county antique festival stage. I only wish it had been warmer and we could have utilized the lovely screened in porch and the great woodstocked fire pit. The owners are great people.

The rooms were nice, the couches were comfortable and the shower had great water pressure.

The stairs were very steep . Would recommend a warning on their rental bio. It's make be hard on seniors and those with knee or hip issues.

The Carriage House is one of the most comfortable, cozy and enjoyable places I’ve stayed in. I highly recommend the Carriage House for anyone.

Wish it would have worked out so we could have stayed

It was very quant and cozy. The owners were wonderful people. However.we only got to stay in it one night. The first night there was a tornado then a severe thunderstorm. It took down the beautiful tree right in front of the carriage house and destroyed the garden setting. The electric was out in the in the entire town and county. We had to leave The owners took us to their basement during the tornado the next morning they put us up in a Comfort Inn that had a generator

All amenities were wonderful, great coffee and snacks and beverages! We loved the location and the hidden garden space with a pond and wonderful landscaping, it was all a great experience staying in a carriage house!

More time to enjoy the area! We had to leave after just one evening at the Carriage House, next time we will stay longer! Excellent experience!
