Good Family stay house, close to the beach

House was cleaned well before arrival, kitchen was well equipped with all cookery ware required to make a meal if required, good size fridge, had a washing machine which was a bonus, instructions were clearly marked, parking stickers were provided for the entire stay, which was good as parking in the area can be sometimes a difficult find, however we were in the off season so there was plenty of space, host was quick to respond, adequate towels available, and most importantly very close to the beach and high street

Having only one bathroom was tight for a family of 4 adults, I booked because it said 2 bathrooms, there is only a toilet in the top bedroom, and for the shower there is a downstairs bathroom only, we managed it OK, but a suggestion to clearly state this in the House description. The outside bin location near the kitchen is difficult since we had to navigate it through the steps, it would be easy if its placed near the front entrance

We were happy with most of the facilities but it would have been nice to sit in a chair

Great location. The house was warm and clean with quite spacious rooms.

The two sofas were old and uncomfortable. There was no comfortable chair.

Third stay at the house can’t fault it brill location & allowed me early access

The size of the property is good & the location is superb

Parking was a struggle but it was a busy weekend also just a small criticism of the couch which was a bit uncomfortable

Fabulous house and location

Great location for the beach, shops, places to eat, etc Had a lovely homely feel and had everything we needed for our weeks holiday. Loved the care package of milk and teabags and biscuits.

The only thing would be that the sofa's were a bit uncomfortable!

A very enjoyable and comfortable stay at the Buttercross.

Clean and comfortable. Good facilities and location. Very good communication with the owners. Excellent value for money.

Bathroom was downstairs but wasn’t really a problem.

Cosy & Welcoming Accommodation

Property was fab, very clean & comfortable stay, towels, toilet rolls, tea & coffee (And lovely home made biscuits!) included which was a lovely bonus. Great location only 5 mins walking to beach/city centre. Would definitely return again.

Very clean house, comfy beds and a comfortable lounge, nice enclosed patio area. House is a 2 mins walk to the sea front and 6 mins to castle. A good base to visit Scarborough and surrounding areas.

Great place for a family break spotless comfy beds all you need near to beach and amusements for children near to little town center we had a little problem with heating owner sent help immediately thank you

Nothing to maintain cleanliness of house in kitchen or bathrooms 2 toilet rolls for 8 night stay.The sheets were poor quality and kept coming off mattress.The back yard dismal dirty unkempt wooden bench unusable .
