Lovely spot, beautiful room and wonderful staff.

Wonderful accommodation with friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. The Indonesian breakfast supplied was to die for and an experience. Room was amazing, with wonderful views and secluded balconies. Being off season, we had the whole resort to ourselves.

It is a little far out from UBUD, meaning a 20 minute drive each way, however plenty of restaurants etc within walking distance. Drivers did have trouble finding the pick up spot.

Beautiful authentic bali stay.

Staff was super sweet!! I was very comfortable! They even took me to a nearby restaurant by scooter and didn't charge me and came back to pick me up.

Not good for people with mobility issues, even minor ones. But amazing!!

Lovely environmentally friendly and stylish construction

The staff were welcoming and served a nice breakfast each day. Motorbike rental is possible.

There was a large Gecko that got into the ceiling of my place and woke me up one night. The staff tried to remove it but were not able. Thankfully it didn't wake me up again. Would have been nice to have a small apology or something to make up for the inconvenience.

Amazing houses and great service, we loved how this place is organized, the host does great work when it comes to staying eco-friendly!! The massages and the healing was great, we really loved the experience. And the jungle, trees, the sounds - wow!

The only this is that the breakfasts were sooo small, it was difficult to stay full longer than 1h, would be great if the breakfast could be a bit bigger :)

Amazing jungle stay with the friendliest staff

Everything was perfect. The room was set up nicely and had everything I needed. I had asked before I arrived if they knew where to buy certain things, but they had them on hand so when I got to my room, those items were there for me! (Adapter, bug spray, etc). Breakfasts were DELICIOUS, best breakfast I had during my whole trip to Bali. They also had plenty of recommendations for restaurants as well which were all great. I also like how Bamboo Turtles was a bit outside Ubud, so we were able to avoid traffic and avoid loud noises. The staff were so hospitable, and Ms Wayan went above and beyond to make this stay special. I came as a solo traveler and I felt so welcome and happy to be there. Will recommend this place to everyone and I hope to come back one day!

Tranquil and relaxing

Absolutely love the ethos and simplicity of this wonderful place - Bamboo Turtles Eco Lodge. All bamboo and recycled timber structures, mud brick and stone wall in the bathroom. Rubbish bin liners are large dried leaves. 100% natural bamboo pulp toilet paper 😀 Bamboo and bamboo fibre "window". Stone and bamboo hand basin Peaceful….and perfect place for relaxing in amongst the trees, bird life and squirrels. Oh and the resident cat “Bamboo”. 🥰

A magical jungle escape with a warm, family-like atmosphere

We absolutely wanted to experience staying in a bamboo cabin in the heart of the jungle, and Bamboo Ecolodge completely lived up to our expectations. The setting is simply idyllic — you’re immersed in nature, surrounded by forest, while still feeling perfectly safe and comfortable. Our cabin was beautiful, with a lovely view of the river from the balcony — such a peaceful and soothing way to start and end the day. There’s also a small, charming pool on site, perfect for relaxing at any time. The staff were amazing: friendly, responsive, attentive, and genuinely kind. You really feel taken care of and welcomed. It was a fantastic and unforgettable experience, and we would recommend it 100%.

The lodge doesn’t serve lunch or dinner. That said, there are plenty of restaurants nearby, and taxis are extremely affordable, making it easy to get around and explore the area.

Our room was beautiful, and felt very private. All of the staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. I liked that filtered water was freely available. The pool is beautiful. The location was handy for the places we wanted to visit.

There were several dogs barking at night but that's not the fault of the resort owner.

A Jungle Paradise: Loved Every Moment of Our Stay

I loved everything about the accommodation. Nestled in the heart of the jungle beside a river, it felt incredibly connected to nature. They kindly booked us a yoga class with a wonderful instructor, and we also enjoyed a relaxing massage. Breakfast was delicious, the staff were warm and attentive, and—even though we arrived late—they arranged a lovely dinner for us.

Magical Stay in Ubud, Bali

We loved everything about Bamboo Turtles Ecolodge. Nestled in the jungle, the villas are surrounded by lush trees and plants and all the wondrous sounds of nature. Each villa is expertly crafted and oh so beautiful! The bathroom is like a dream - the roof isn't completely enclosed so you feel immersed in nature while taking a shower. It's wonderful! The property is just magical. The staff are all so warm and friendly. We loved the morning coffee and breakfast.

The pool could have used some cleaning and maintenance.

This place is magical. The rooms/villas are so special. You feel immersed with nature. All the jungle vibes. The bathroom is really special. Hybrid indoor/outdoor so you'll occasionally see a little insect friend here and there while brushing your teeth or in the shower. Staff is so warm and friendly.

Luxury jungle experience!

The location in the middle of the jungle is amazing, and it is just like what I expected from the pictures: calm with the river that flows by the pool, with individual huts that are private yet with amazing views, super comfortable and with a delicious breakfast included. All the staff is very nice which makes the experience all the more enjoyable!

Our most comfortable & relaxing stay during our trip to Bali!

Wayan & her team were lovely and the hospitality was exceptional during our stay. The villa was beautiful, peaceful & very clean. The grounds and gardens were well maintained and the pool was very relaxing. With only 4 villas in the complex it is a very tranquil & peaceful getaway from the rush of Bali.

The area was about 20 minutes out of Ubud & there was little to do close-by, however this is made clear in the description. As the traffic was so hectic in Ubud we opted to take seperate Grab bikes with our luggage which was a bit inconvenient however by far the fastest option.

Heavenly hideaway outside of Ubud

I loved my stay here! Everything was perfect, Wayan and her team were all so friendly and happy to help in any way. The Balinese breakfast is a must, so delicious! The treehouses were so beautiful and comfortable. The location is about 30mins car ride away (due to traffic) from Ubud, but I personally preferred being away from the hustle and bustle of the centre. Also, the pool is AMAZING! Wifi was really strong too.

There are a lot of mosquitoes here (not Bamboo Turtles fault though!) so just be prepared for that. They do supply repellent though which is so thoughtful ☺️

We absolutely loved staying here, the staff, the traditional breakfast, the cabins, the jungle view were just to die for! The only mistake we did was booking this for only 2 nights.

The shower only has two moods, melting hot or super cold, but apart from that everything was great and super clean.

Unique enjoyable stay.

We arrive late in the evening and was greeted warmly. Our room exceeded our expectations. Bed was very comfortable. Room had fan and a/c. Bathroom was private although open to surrounding. In the evening you can hear insects and surrounding creatures which we enjoyed. In the afternoon we luv seating by the pool and stream. I luv bamboo so to stay in a structure built from that was interesting. Absolutely enjoyed the whole property and warm friendly staffs. Would definitely come again.

Exceeded every expectation

Upon arriving we were greeted by Ibu Wayan who gave us the most warm welcoming. She was an absolute delight, offered us a turmeric health tonic, and arranged our needs for the complimentary breakfast the following morning. The treehouses were gorgeous and comfortable with the bathroom and balcony being my favorite parts. The sounds and sight of the river below were so calming and the pool adjacent was lovely, contrary to any reviews claiming it was dirty. I strongly recommend booking a private massage and/or yoga session. What a dream this place was!

Bamboo Turtles Ecolodge that blends flawlessly with its environment exceeded my expectations. Great location, quiet, easy to get in and out of the city. They ensure the guest is happy and satisfied. They are always available and open to all questions. But Wayan went beyond and made my stay unforgettable. There are many things that we will never forget and times that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. Memories of Wayan and Ketut will never fade!

the location is very close to the nature and beautiful vegetation around the lodges. staff is very friendly and helpful

1. the rooms has no fridge so you cannot drink something cold to refresh 2. the bed has only a sheet to cover and because in the rainy season you maybe feel a little cold you need to use the blanket that doesn’t look to be changed after each guest and is a little bit dusty 3. the decor over the bed is very dusty and has a smell of unventilated 4. the towels are not being changed daily and in a rainy season when humidity is high you will not have a dry towel to use in the evening 5. breakfast is poor , better to skip it and enjoy the surroundings 6. price is too high for the facilities they offer and in the same range you can find more iconic locations
