About this house rental
One of a pair of 1850s canal builders' homes right on the Delaware & Raritan Canal towpath, a few blocks from Main Street Lambertville. Set up for working away from home, with a desk and external monitor overlooking the canal. Queen bedroom, twin bedroom, 1.5 baths, full kitchen, washer/dryer. Porch swing out front, private screened porch upstairs, fenced backyard, two parking spots. Sleeps 4, and the Tow Path House next door sleeps 4 more for bigger groups.
THE SPACE
- Workspace: desk with an external monitor overlooking the canal
- Primary bedroom: queen, shelves of books, full bath next door
- Second bedroom: twin bed, with a slider to the private screened porch overlooking the canal
- Living room: new pull-out sofa bed (sheets and pillows in the upstairs hall closet), TV
- Kitchen: eat-in, with a table for 4, dishwasher, door to the back deck
- Baths: full bath upstairs, half bath downstairs
- Laundry: washer and dryer
- Outdoors: porch swing on the towpath, screened porch upstairs, fenced yard with deck and dining table
GUEST ACCESS
This side of the house is all yours, including the front porch, the upstairs screened porch and the fenced backyard. Two parking spaces right out front.
GOOD TO KNOW
The stairs to the bedrooms are steep and may be hard for guests with limited mobility. Booking for a group of up to 8? Reserve both the Canal House and the Tow Path House next door, which sit side by side. A detailed house manual is sent before your stay.
THE NEIGHBORHOOD
You're right on the D&R Canal towpath, great for walking, running and biking in both directions. A few blocks to Main Street Lambertville's galleries, antique shops and restaurants, and a short walk across the bridge to New Hope. The Delaware River is minutes away.
GETTING AROUND
Everything in Lambertville is walkable, and New Hope is a short walk across the bridge. Trans-Bridge buses to NYC's Port Authority stop in Lambertville at 80 Park Ave.

It’s a charming, comfortable house in a beautiful location. Great for biking up and down the canal on the Jersey side. Easy to get into Philadelphia or explore Bucks County from here. The host, Elliot, is very responsive and the home was well equipped.

The Lambertville Canal House has truly become my home away from home. I've stayed here many times over the years, and every visit reminds me why I keep coming back. The house is always spotless, beautifully maintained, and so comfortable—it immediately puts me at ease.One of the things I love most is how peaceful and safe the neighborhood feels. It's the perfect place to relax and unwind. Having convenient parking is such a bonus, and once you arrive, you can easily walk to all of Lambertville's wonderful restaurants, unique shops, and attractions without worrying about your car.The combination of a warm, welcoming home, an unbeatable location, and exceptional cleanliness makes every stay a pleasure. Thank you for consistently providing such a wonderful place to stay. I always look forward to my next visit and highly recommend the Lambertville Canal House to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable getaway.
