The Luxury Moose Retreat is a gorgeous post and beam home in Bryce Resort in the Shenandoah Valley. This opulent and stunning home is nestled in the woods and is perfect for those seeking privacy and a relaxing stay. This home is dog friendly and perfect for those who love to cook in a chef’s kitchen and have plenty of space to entertain both inside and out. A rare combination of luxury, rustic, modern, and comfort all within a short distance from the hustle of D.C.

You’ll have the entire home to yourself (2500 square feet) including multiple sleeping areas-- 4 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, 1 sofa bed, a kitchen, dining, and 2 living spaces.
Don’t worry about bringing a thing for cooking as we offer a fully stocked kitchen. Fresh linens and bath towels are provided and if you forgot your hairdryer, we have one of those too. A pack and play is also available along with a dog crate. The space is cleaned and disinfected by a professional cleaning service after each stay. We have great WIFI and cell service, and four smart TVs (to login into your (Netflix & Hulu accounts).
Stay on the main floor to enjoy the beautiful decor and view into the backyard or head downstairs to the basement where there is an additional living room with a bar, large TV, board games and gas fireplace!
Relax and enjoy the dog friendly backyard made for entertaining including firepit, gas grill, couch and a dining table all under the stars and string lights.
Be prepared to reflect, relax, and enjoy the Basye area and Bryce resort surroundings (including golfing, hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, paddleboarding, swimming, snowboarding, skiing, wineries, even mini-golf!) all only 5-10mins away!
Remember- Please respect our home; treat it as your own, and leave it as you found it – clean, organized and free of damage. No parties or smoking allowed.
Please read our house rules and cancellation policy before booking. If you would like to protect your trip for covered reasons outside of Airbnb’s policies, we recommend external trip insurance.
Guest access
Guests can access the home by using a digital keypad. A personalized code will be sent to you and available for you to use upon checking in. Check-In starts at 4:00 PM and Check-Out is at 10:00 AM. Your personalized code is deactivated at 10:00 AM. Guests will be charged extra for staying past check-out time.
Guests can use the whole house except for the basement storage room which is kept locked and cannot access anything in the garage.
Other things to note
This is a wooded area, so bring bug spray if sensitive to insects. Please do not leave patio doors open.
Security Cameras:
A Ring Flood Light security camera is located at every corner of the house for your security and safety since the home is very remote. There are NO cameras inside the property.
Guests:
Only the guests on the confirmed Airbnb reservation are allowed on the property / in the cabin. Extra guests must be approved by owners in advance of the reservation and are subject to additional fees.
Pets:
We are pet friendly for well-behaved dogs with prior approval before your reservation. We ask that the dog not be left alone in the home for an extended period of time, kept off the furniture and beds, and that you put them in the crate provided when left alone, and pick up after them outside. Guests will be charged $95 per dog per stay. Extra fees may apply for damage caused by your dog(s). NO OTHER ANIMALS allowed. Thank you!
Cleaning Fee:
The cleaning fee covers normal turnover cleaning (e.g. bedding and laundry turn over, surfaces, floors, snow removal, etc.). Additional cleaning fees may be incurred for excessive mess (e.g. excessive dishes, pet damage, etc)
We are not responsible for Bryce Resort weather changes / delays leading up to and during your reservation. In the event of a storm, our cancellation policy stands.

The Luxury Moose Retreat was absolutely amazing!! I have stayed at several rental properties in Basye, VA over the years, but this one was outstanding. It's less than 1 mile from Bryce Resort. Drive way large enough for 6-8 cars. The kitchen is spacious, more than enough counter space, high quality utensils, pots, pans, gas stove, there's even a wine fridge! The bedrooms are spacious, bright, clean, beautiful. There was not a single thing during our stay that we were inconvenienced by. If you are looking for a great place to stay in Basye, THIS is IT!!! Book it now and you will have zero regrets! This place is super affordable and worth every single penny!!!

This is the 2nd time our family has stayed at this property. We enjoy the comfort of this home and the location is close to the resort. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking meals in, has everything you need. The game room provides for much entertainment and the fire pit is great for relaxation. I recommend this property, you will not be disappointed.

Our family had a great weekend at the Luxury Moose. Based on the photos and information the house was everything we expected. We cooked meals in and had everything we needed. The pots and skillets were of nice quality as well as the appliances. Sitting around the fire pit for hours each day was our favorite family time. The fire pit is very cool and the guys loved making and keeping the
fire going. Loved the warm lodge feel! Trip was way to fast, but we definitely will plan to return!
