About this cabin rental
Come escape to Blue Heron Cabin located on Watts Bar lake with private boat slip included (Seasonal water levels May - October)! This custom log cabin offers two bedrooms and two bathrooms and accommodates up to 8 guests. The screened in porch overlooks the quiet cove, just steps away from Watts Bar Lake. The home is centrally located, about an hour away from Knoxville and Chattanooga, and on the doorstep of the Great Smoky Mountains. Trade the noise of the city for the peace and quiet of nature along with a sky full of stars at night.
Blue Heron Cabin offers both solace in nature and a gateway to 72 miles of fun on Watts Bar Lake. Entering the house, you’ll notice the charm of the rustic log cabin. Inside the kitchen and living room, accented by wood walls throughout the upper level. Head through the glass doors in the living room and you’ll be immersed in nature within the screened in porch, complete with patio furniture and an outdoor table. The master bedroom is located upstairs with a queen bed and private bathroom.
Downstairs provides plenty of space for more relaxing with a sofa/sleeper, recliner, and twin day bed with trundle. The downstairs bedroom also boasts queen size bed. There is also a full bathroom with a tub and shower.
Outside, you’ll find a fire pit, porch swing, and plenty of peace and quiet. A path leads from the back porch to the boat slip (water at pier from April 15 thru November 1st). The dock provides plenty of space for swimming and fishing. Two kayaks are provided for your enjoyment. Boats can be rented from nearby Marinas, or you can bring your own boat and park it at the private dock!.

Wonderful cabin! Would definitely stay again anytime we’re coming to visit family in the area. While I enjoyed sipping my coffee in a cozy cabin while overlooking the frigid lake, I imagine summer would be ideal for this spot!

Our stay at this cabin was wonderful. It had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. It was very clean fresh towels, fresh linens. Coffee on the porch in the morning was priceless. Owners were very responsive. I would definitely stay here again.Sitting outside on the dock was quiet and peaceful. You could hear nature all around you. The water was beautiful. The house was great, clean country and simple.

Spacious and roomy. Nice outdoor seating both screened or not. The walk to the lake is not for the weak. Concrete steps make it safe but it is a hike down and back over multiple days- be prepared to awaken muscles if you have not maintained active later in life-LOL. Only downside in booking this property - I was not aware when renting a space that advertised for 8 people that I would be charged extra 320 for 4 nights if more than 4 persons were coming and or going and filling the house as advertised for 8. May have been my oversight but my opinion is that is a downside.
