Relaxing 2 Bedroom House 5 minutes away from Vilamoura Marina

The property was just lovely. Clean and comfortable. There is a pool (pool chairs do need to be upgraded). We were there most of the time on our own. Pool to ourselves. It has lots b of restaurants around serving good food. The beach is also lovely.

Nothing. Just a few suggestions. There was no umbrella outside. More dish cloths. A welcome pack would be nice.

We had a lovely week staying in the house, very well presented and well looked after, with everything you needed, great size and just what we wanted, location was about 20 minute walk to the beach 30 minutes to vilamoura marina, 5 minutes in uber and a few €, the restaurant in the grounds was a bit noisy on a night time however we went out each night so didn’t really bother us to much. The host was very helpful with great communication, we love the algarve and would definitely stay again.

The shared pool was a great addition and great size, really quiet during our time there, however could do with some TLC.

The apartment complex is located about 10-15 minutes walking distance to the beach and 5-10 minutes to a big supermarket. The area is quiet at night and it feels safe. The complex hosts abt. 12 apartments, a swimming pool, restaurant and around a corner a coffee bar. The apartment was spacious, one living room + kitchen (complete with all you need) and a toilet downstairs and 2 bedrooms + bathroom with a toilet on first floor. Easy check in and very good contact with the host. In the garden area (where the swimming pool is located) the entry to the restaurant is like 10 meters from the apartment. During our stay 2 birthday parties were organized so it was a bit loud, but after 23:00 it was quiet again. Restaurant is very nice by the way. Nice staff, good and affordable food and nice atmosphere. If you want to have a quiet place in the night with good location to visit the area (Algarve) by rental car, this is the place to be.

There was some renovation going on during our stay (it was in April) but In understood it must be ready before 1st of May. Not really a problem, but the whole day there was a bit of noise. The pool could be a little bit cleaner and some renovation wouldn't harm. It was not bad at all, but I'm not sure if there is someone who takes care of it...also the chairs around the pool could be cleaner and some mainatance would be welcome (floor around the pool).

The accommodation was very good inside the property. There was everything you needed for the stay. As we stayed 12 nights we had a clean mid way through the stay which was nice. The air conditioning, even in May, was welcoming upstairs. A large fan helped downstairs. A downstairs toilet was useful too. The kitchen was well equipped and there was a large fridge/freezer along with a washing machine. The owners responded to messages very quickly and did try to solve the main issue we had (see below). There is a parking space but the "private" parking has been sprayed over so we could not always guarantee a space was there when we got back - we did go in May so not a big issue but in the height of the season this could be an issue. Within a 5 minute walk there was a Spar shop which was very well stocked including a bakery in the store.

The outside space was not what we were expecting. We knew there was a restaurant on site but were not aware the rear entrance was literally backing onto our outside space. Throughout the stay we did not feel we had any privacy when sitting outside. The house next door had direct access onto our outside space as did people from the restaurant. The restaurant is located directly behind the hedge in the photos with customers sitting out there each service. There was only room for the patio table and 2 sun chairs on the patio but you were in direct eyeline with customers at the restaurant. The noise from the restaurant was from 11am to 11pm. Customers were not too bad but the staff and their children were noisy and did not respect our private space. There is a resident on site who childminds her 3 grandsons and they were very noisy, disrespectful of our space and knocked over our washing and ran through our patio screaming and shouting. We did report this to the owner who messaged the restaurant and offered to pay for a lunch for us. Little improved after the message was sent. The pool grounds are well maintained but the pool itself is in need of some work as tiles were missing or broken and the water level of the pool dropped a lot during the week so that the filter system did not clean the pool properly.
