The location is simply amazing the views of the harbour , sea and beautiful historical buildings is breath taking. We loved that we were close to the beach, bars , ice cream cafes and walked straight out of the our front door and everything was as on door step. We were able to sit on balcony and watch the world go by. This is a historic property with a small well equipped kitchen and bathroom. There is no lounge but there is a roof terrace with amazing views. Michele the owner was simply brilliant nothing was too much bother we had issue with hire car and he drove my husband to the airport to sort it out brilliant host.

There are a couple of tweaks to make this property even better due to there being no lounge id suggest making the roof terrace more useable such as adding sun loungers comfortable lounge seating and adding shade to the pergola. Also we couldn’t access UK channels and we couldn’t log into Netflix.

Quel plaisir d'ouvrir les volets et de découvrir le port au lever du soleil. Cet appartement est très propre, spacieux, très bien équipé avec de la belle vaisselle et une belle décoration. La literie est excellente. La vue du balcon ou de la terrasse privative est exceptionnelle. Le stationnement est possible grâce à un document fourni par Michele qui est très accueillant. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. Le village est resté authentique tout en bénéficiant de bars et restaurants.

Casa al Porto was in the perfect location, right in the heart of beautiful Giovinazzo. The bedroom balcony overlooked the harbour and cathedral, providing stunning views from morning until night. The real highlight, however, was the rooftop terrace. We spent many evenings there enjoying local cheeses, meats, olives and a bottle of wine while watching the boats, the harbour and everyday life unfold below. It was so relaxing that we often felt we didn’t need to go anywhere else. The apartment was well equipped, and the free parking permit provided was a real bonus. Communication before and during our stay was excellent, and Michele was always friendly, responsive and helpful whenever we had a question. Giovinazzo itself was a wonderful surprise – a beautiful historic town with an authentic Italian atmosphere, great restaurants and bars, and very few tourists. We arrived during the St Antonio festival, which made us feel immersed in local life from day one. The apartment was also an excellent base for exploring Matera, Polignano a Mare, Monopoli and the surrounding coastline.

Very little. The only thing future guests should be aware of is that the stairs are quite steep, both to reach the apartment and again to access the rooftop terrace. This may not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Also, there are no sandy beaches within easy walking distance. There is a lovely beach club nearby, but access to the sea is over rocks, so beach shoes are recommended. Neither of these points affected our enjoyment of the stay.

The apartment is wonderful, very cosy but not too small. It has everything you need, the kitchen is well equipped - I could easily cook a full meal. The weather was quite chilly when I was there but there is heating at the apartment so I was really warm. It has amazing view and beautiful terrace! It is very close to the main square and to the old town with all the restaurants etc. I loved it!
