The property was in a fantastic location and had every amenity we could need. There was even a putting mat and darts in the garage to keep us entertained which was a great surprise. We would definitely stay again and have zero complaints about anything!

Our family of 8 stayed for 4 nights and this house is super cute! Updated and very clean. Plenty of room with an unexpected man-cave in garage! Plenty of extra linens and even though we did not cook much had the necessities needed. One more full bathroom would have been nice, but the extra 1/2 bath on main level helped out. Would stay again for sure!

This property was wonderful. High-end finishes and very well stocked with everything we needed. Good location, but close to a train crossing ... we heard the very loud horn early in the morning. But that is not a reflection on the hosts. They were very easy to communicate with. The only downside was the bathrooms could have been a little cleaner ... but again, I attribute that to the cleaners, not the hosts. I highly recommend this house and I would definitely stay here again!

I can't think of a single negative thing to say about "Call Me Old Fashioned". High end finishes, clean, well renovated, and a great size for a group of around 8-10. High end bedding, memory foam mattresses, and cool hangout spaces including a finished garage area make this house excellent for adults or children. The management team was very responsive to questions and sent detailed check in and out instructions. Within walking distance to downtown (10 minute walk). If I am ever in Bardstown again I will 100% be staying in this house.

The property is in a great location, perfect for those that wanted to do the Bourbon Trail and great for those who wanted to go shopping or visit wineries. Beautiful house in a quiet yet fun town. Lots of things to do nearby. Even enjoyed a family run at the annual turkey trot. Owner was very easy to work with and super responsive. Realized our first evening, pretty late at night that the pot was missing to the coffee pot, and alerted the owner. A new coffee maker was on the doorstep just in time for making coffee in the morning! Thank you Ben! We will be back!

Call Me Old Fashioned was well located to Bardstown and all the distilleries in the area. We had a wonderful 4 night stay. The property was clean and well appointed and easily fit our group of 7.

This would have been a solid 5 star review but for the terribly uncomfortable trundle bed in the 4th bedroom. The mattresses were not the problem, but the bed frame was so unstable that every time my husband moved even a little, it would jiggle and squeak like he was sleeping in a metal hammock, and not in a good way. If anyone is staying there with 3 couples it will be perfect for you or if you are more than 6 people where 2 couples are comfortable sharing a bedroom this will not be a problem. Other than this problem the house was perfect!

There is absolutely nothing negative you can say about this property. I can’t compliment the owners enough on what they have accomplished with this house. Everything is well thought out. Didn’t need to bring extra of anything. Beds were comfortable with plenty of extra pillows and blankets. Great location. Would definitely love to stay here again. Spent two nights in this property. Two couples/four adults. Super clean, fresh accommodations. Withing 3-5 min drive from downtown area and many places to have dinner or drink. Bardstown offered several distillery options and put us in a location to visit Lexington, Danville, Louisville, Frankfort and many other distillery options. Very pleased.

Our stay at this property was wonderful! The house was so clean! It was very well outfitted with everything we needed. Plenty of towels and washcloths. The bed was very very comfortable - complete with good bed linens and quality pillows. Communication was easy and expedient. There was a slight maintenance issue that arose but it was handled swiftly! The location near restaurants and bars was wonderful. Bardstown is a wonderful little town. We visited several distilleries in the area and had some great meals too. We would not hesitate to recommend this property and we hope to return again soon!

We didn’t cook, but huge kitchen and dining area with ample plates and flatware; very nice outdoor area for sitting around and sipping whiskey in a quiet neighborhood; and within minutes walk of central Bardstown. We were in Kentucky from California to visit The Ark Encounter and Creation Museum. Bardstown seemed like a nice place to stay. The town is beautiful and the people friendly. Our stay at Call Me Old Fashioned was perfect. The house was exceptionally clean, beds were comfortable and perfect location to venture out on day trips. Our hosts were quick to respond and meet all our needs. You will not be disappointed with the accommodations or location for a relaxing stay. We would stay here again if we were in the vicinity. Our entire family of 5 adults loved the space! Thank you to our hosts!!

We really enjoyed our stay at 'Call Me Old Fashioned'. It's obvious the owners have put a lot of time and effort into renovating and maintaining the home. The location is super convenient to downtown; within walking distance to shops and restaurants (and the best little donut shop in town!). It's also very close to grocery & liquor stores. There is plenty of space inside for just hanging around the kitchen bar/table. The owners provided plenty of towels along with coffee and paper products. The 1st floor bedroom is very spacious with a nice bathroom. The 2nd floor provides plenty of space if you have a larger group staying at the property. We had everything we needed for the perfect get-away. If you're visiting to do a few bourbon tours, this home is very close to Heaven Hill and Jim Beam (highly recommended). Couldn't have asked for more. Thank you for opening your home to us!

This is a lovely home with a very modern atmosphere. We enjoyed the big kitchen for breakfast and the family room for holiday football/basketball games. The owners added some super nice holiday touches - lights and garlands - as well as winter warmth with afghans and pillows. The bathrooms are a luxury with "heated" floors. The beds were very comfortable with nice linens. I enjoyed my stay and will recommend to all friends and family who are looking for a place to stay on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail.

This house was bigger than we expected! Updated with all of the modern amenities like tankless water heater so the five adults and baby could shower without running out. Very comfy new memory foam mattresses, fluffy towels and very cold AC! We did not actually cook but the kitchen was gorgeous and had all of the things for cooking. My adult children loved seeing the fireflies for the first time and a gray fox in the neighbors yard. The neighborhood is cute and safe and only 1 minute driving distance from historic downtown Bardstown. Our host Ben responded quickly when reaching out to him. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer! Thank you for making our first visit to Kentucky so memorable!

Perfect Property!

My group of 6 met in Bardstown to attend a concert at Dant Crossing and it was perfect for our group. The location was convenient to the venue and to the very cute downtown area of Bardstown. We all thought the beds were comfortable and the den and kitchen area were great for congregating and playing games in the evenings. We went to Churchill Downs one day and it was about a 45 minute drive so I think this would be a good rental if anyone wants to be close (but not too close) to the action of the race track. We had a few questions along the way and the owners were very responsive. If you're planning a trip to this beautiful part of Kentucky, I can highly recommend staying at this house.
