Spacious 5BR House Fireplace Garden Retreat

Comfortable rooms, nice open living area. Clean.

They require a security deposit and identity documents to be provided in an external link, that goes against Booking.com policies. One room was locked and we had to call to get the details. Despite advertising fireplace, they do not provide firewood. One shower was out of order, we weren't notified before the stay.

It was a lovely spacious property with a nice country feel. The place was overall neat and tidy. The bedrooms were large and the beds were soft and wide. The location was quiet and the whole place quite modern. The staff were also very helpful.

The upstairs shower was not working and it was an inconvenience to go down to use the shower during winter. However, I’m sure it will be fixed soon. The firewood provided was also not enough for the stay so it was freezing in the morning. The noise detection gadget was also not necessary. It was defective and caused us a headache as it would not storm beeping.

Beautiful, modern property, located about 5 months drive from katoomba shops, and close to ha ha falls which was stunning

No heating made available in loungeroom. No air conditioner. Fireplace present but no wood available or other things to start fire so the plunge room was cold once sun went down. We stayed at house in April. One bedroom upstairs also didn’t have air conditioner for heating and that room was cold also. No tv in main lounge room, though there is one in upstairs lounge. Set out was strange with no entry signs to areas where rooms were locked. Couldn’t access garage, not s big deal.

Location was nice and quiet

Weird layout of house. Some parts of house locked off from access - so you don't have full access to the property. Lots of signs in the house with rules that you are not made aware of when booking. Could have been cleaner - wasn't cleaned very well before our stay. Both toilets were a bit grotty and not cleaned properly, which was a bit off. No TV downstairs and couldn't get live TV on the main TV upstairs. No heating/cooling in all rooms. Windows all left open before our arrival and some had no screens, so an invitation for bugs, especially in this location. Not all beds had sheets with the doonas. Didn't like the fact that I couldn't get the door codes to check in until I provided photos of my ID and my credit card for a security bond which wasn't made clear at time of booking - which is also against booking.com policy.
