The heart of the home is a large kitchen and dining area, recently updated with new quartz countertops, modern appliances, a breakfast bar with seating for six, and a dining table that comfortably seats ten. The living room, with its floor-to-ceiling windows and wood-burning fireplace, offers breathtaking views of the lake, making it an ideal space for relaxation.
The home comfortably sleeps eight guests, with the option to add a one-bedroom efficiency apartment on the lower level (The Allgood Apartment @ Lake Junaluska) to accommodate up to ten guests. The expansive deck features two sitting areas, an outdoor dining table, and panoramic, unobstructed views of the lake. As you unwind, keep an eye out for bald eagles soaring above and listen for the gentle sounds of ducks and Canada geese.

While the property was dated on the inside, as others have said in their reviews, it was clean, orderly, and comfortable. The bedrooms are accommodating to family, with each room (except the master) having more than one bed. The view from the deck is relaxing and beautiful, with direct sunrise views. The lake has a walking trail that goes all the way around which was good for morning and evening strolls. The people we met along the way were very pleasant and friendly. We did not spend too many hours at the cabin though. What we liked the most was that this cabin is centrally located to amazing areas. We were able to enjoy Bryson city, Cherokee, Maggie Valley, Waynesville, Highlands, Water Rock Knob, the blue ridge parkway, Asheville, Black Mountain, and Catawba falls, all from this resting point. Having a family, it was nice that there was a grocery store near by and many places to eat. All in all, we ate, we shopped, we hiked, we took in sunrise and sunset views, and just had a great overall vacation from this point.

The location was perfect for my bridesmaids with the gorgeous view and the large living room for gathering and getting ready for the big day!
