In the heart of the Alto Douro Wine Region, an UNESCO World Heritage Site, Casa do Paço is a place to pause, breathe, and take your time enjoying the Douro.

Situated on a private estate, surrounded by gardens and vineyards, the house offers a privileged view of the Douro River and its valleys, combining the tranquility and privacy of a private home with the comfort needed for an extended stay with family or friends.

Here, the landscape is part of the experience. Mornings begin with the light glinting off the river; days can be spent by the pool or exploring the region; and in the late afternoon, the Douro becomes the perfect backdrop for long, leisurely moments together.

Built in 1991 and carefully renovated in 2021, Casa do Paço retains the character of a true family home, while adding the comfort and amenities needed for a relaxed and special stay.



The main house accommodates up to 16 guests and features 7 suites spread across three levels, allowing guests to enjoy both social moments and spaces offering greater privacy.

On the upper floor are four suites, all with balconies, facing east, and offering unobstructed views of the Douro River and the valley.

The main floor is the heart of the house, featuring a spacious living room and dining room overlooking the landscape, a fully equipped kitchen, one suite, and a guest bathroom.

On the lower level are two suites with direct access to the pool area, a living room, and a recreation area featuring a pool table, table tennis, and gym equipment.

The layout of the house makes it particularly well-suited for families and groups of friends who value both shared spaces and the opportunity to find a quiet spot for themselves.

The Rooms

The seven suites are designed to provide comfort and privacy, with linens and towels included.

Suite 1 — double bed 180 × 200 cm + TV

Suite 2 — double bed 150 × 200 cm

Suite 3 — double bed 160 × 200 cm + TV

Suite 4 — two single beds 90 × 200 cm or a double bed 180 × 200 cm + TV

Suite 5 — double bed 150 × 200 cm

Suite 6 — 160 × 200 cm double bed + TV

Suite 7 — 160 × 200 cm double bed

In the lounge next to the pool, there is also a sofa bed that converts into two single beds, recommended especially for children.

The Exterior

Casa do Paço is set on a private property of approximately 12,000 m², including roughly 6,000 m² of gardens and vineyards.

It is a space designed to be enjoyed at a leisurely pace.

The private pool, surrounded by outdoor space, lounge chairs, and a beach umbrella, invites you to spend long afternoons outdoors. The barbecue area is ideal for relaxed meals and social gatherings.

Guests also have access to the property’s tennis court, which can also be used as a soccer field and features two goals.
